Breakfast all day. Great diner food. Everything is fresh and delicious.
Had breakfast here mid-morning recently during the week for the first time and had a choice of seating. Located in the heart of Westerville it is a classic diner- checkered flooring, simple tables for 2 or 4, limited counter seating, open service area - whose biggest distinguishing feature is a covered outdoor seating patio in warmer weather. The menu is somewhat smaller than many diners but extensive enough to satisfy most desires with slightly higher prices by not unreasonable. We had the corn beef hash and a twist on this classic of chorizo and hash with coffee. The portions were quite large topped with our choice of three eggs and toast or biscuit. Neither of us finished and we were offered to box it up to go. Both were made with fresh ingredients rather than the "canned" hash found in many diners. To satisfy my sweet tooth and as a throw back to my childhood ordered the "mush". Was surprised the entree was three "croquet" rounds sliced from the commercial cornmeal logs of mush rather than the nice sized rectangular slices usually associated with homemade. The service was diner casual, friendly, and attentive. Our coffee was refilled several times. Open until 9 pm most evenings serving breakfast all day with many traditional lunch and dinner diner favorites. Because of its downtown location parking could be an issue. Will definitely return and possibly try one of the lunch selections.

Upon entering I was greeted with the smell of fresh brewed coffee. The diner is a modern remodel with a old time look. It has plenty of seating and there was no wait for lunch. The server was happy and helpful. The only negative that knocked off a star for me is the lack of a gluten free menu or any indicators on the menu of what doesnât contain it. Ordering was a stab in the dark. I went with the eggs, bacon and hash brown combo. It was good! The price was very low too!

Hubby & I stopped during the week for dinner about 530-545pm. We found it unusually crowded for a weekday! We were able to get seated & ordered a few minutes after 6pm. The waitress got our order in right away, so each meal was $8.99. Hubby raves over chicken critter salad & I had sirloin with sauteed mushrooms: includes 2 sides too They usually have happy hour specials or drink specials till 7pm. Call ahead to get your name on waitlist prior to arriving, even during the week!

I recently visited Eddie Merlotâs after a couple of years and Iâm still pleased with the ambience, service and quality of food. We had the calamari appetizer and the filet mignon king crab oscar with a side of Eddieâs scalloped potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. For dessert we had strawberry shortcake-it was much larger than expected and quite good. Add a few glasses of wine and the bill gets hefty but itâs well worth it. Iâm glad to see that this restaurant is still at the top of their game even after Jeff Rubyâs opened.

I found this place online when visiting the Columbus area and decided to try it. They have a nice selection of craft beers, a comfortable atmosphere, and friendly staff. I tried one of the beers that was recommended by the bartender and it was okay, but not really my style. She should have given me the option to taste test it, which was obviously an option as the staff was taste tasting beers in front of me while I was there. I was not really hungry so I ordered the calamari appetizer. Considering the $13 price tag, I figured that would be some good calamari, I was wrong - the dish was lacking calamari, had mostly veggies, and was heavy on breading. Bottom line: I spent $23 on one beer and an appetizer that pretty much sucked. I must say that the food that others were getting delivered looked much better than what I got, and the beer selection is impressive, so I am not writing this place off completely. We can definitely understand why your visit was disappointing! This is certainly not up to our standards. We do offer tastes if a guest requests to but generally the staff is well trained on the products we offer and can guide guests successfully but obviously this did not work well in your case. We do hope to see you again as we have many awesome products! If anything is ever not up to par or your liking please let one of our team members know during your visit so that we can make it right and get you something that you love!

I moved from Columbus a year ago and ate at the Rusty Bucket every now and then. The new menu is quite an improvement. I had the Tuna Wrap--marinated tuna steak--and it was great. Fried pickles awesome as well.Good dessert too. My daughter and I split the daily special strawberry shortcake. This is a good place for an informal meal.

Smoke salmon is tops. Deli case with desserts, meats, cheeses, etc. Eat in the bar area, the front deli area or in warm times the quiet patio out back where Mario, the owner, keeps a collection of gorgeous blooming flowers. Located in uptown westerville, there are many interesting shops to walk to after your dining experience.
