Excellent choice for breakfast for family of four on a very busy Fathers Day. Although restaurant was very small, a twenty minute wait was well worth it. Menu was very nice service was outstanding and food was the best. Will definitely go back and highly recommend to others.

It resembles more of a parlor than restaurant with nice tables and decorations. This is a counter order restaurant and the food is delivered to your table. It's small, and the menu is limited, but it's a nice variety and all the food we tried was very tasty! It's a relaxing place to dine

Wow! Real downstate-style pizza for the first time! In fact, it's better than most pizzas in the NYC/suburban area, we think. We can't stop going there when we are in town. The crust is thin and the ingredients are of very good quality. Pizza chef is from Sicily, we are told. The owners and staff are extremely friendly! The girl who usually works the counter goes out of her way to ensure the customers are well taken care of. This place is a super hit each and every time. So overdue for this area. A home run!Thank you for taking the time to write us a wonderful review! Great food and great service are super important to us and we are happy you had a positive experience :)

I sure hope they decide to go back to their original brand of dogs because the new ones are awful. They leave a nasty taste which overpowers the wonderful taste of the sauce!! I've been eating dogs there since the 60's and now I won't be going at all. I am SO disappointed!!!

Arrived last evening at 5:00pm and we're greeted with a long line and the news that they now take reservations....actually, recommend reservationsTo restore context,,,, we are locals, survivors of reservations are mandatory, not accepted, closing without notice to a dining room filled with exercise equipment to free bread, chicken livers disappearing from the menu to now we are serving drinks....kiss your BYOB GOOD BYE.Our advice.....Remember: You can disappoint all of your clients some of the time and some of them all of the time but you really have to be THAT good to disappoint ALL of them at once.

My husband and I tried the Grist Mill for diner last evening after hearing about it for many years. We did not realize it had been sold, and there was a new chef. As we entered we were taken by the views and interesting decor. Unfortunately our positive experience ended there. We were told they âsold out of any specialsâ before our arrival (at 7:30?), our salads lacked flavor and were presented in a messy fashion, tables were covered with paper instead of linens, and our entrees were minuscule and lacked any seasoning. The prices were very high, and not warranted for the quality and quantity. This is an establishment that tags themselves as âfine diningâ (it is even the guest WiFi password), but the experience was decent diner dinner at best. The table next to us had guests with backwards baseball caps and cut off shorts. I have no issue with either of those items, but not when Iâm paying $10.00 for a so so salad and $35.00 for tiny tasteless halibut. Buyer beware.Hi,We are sorry you found your experience less than satisfactory while dining at the Grist Mill. We always strive to ensure we are serving quality ingredients and delivering superior service. New ownership took over in August 2015 (not recently) and since then we have fortunately maintained a strong following of both new and old customers. The area attracts a variety of different tourists; we encourage our guests to dress comfortably, and suggest casual-chic attire when asked. We went to butcher block paper on the tables a couple of years ago, but kept linen napkins for our guests. We did this because we have limited laundry service available and rather than increase the price of the meals, we chose to conserve linen where possible. Youâll find that several other similar establishments in the area have done the same. The halibut is a 7 oz. portion, filleted in house by our chef or sous chef. It comes fresh, never frozen, and we truly believe it is of stellar quality. As far as the specials go, they are exactly that: something special we brought in aside from the regular menu options. We often start the evening with 10 to 20 of them and depending on the popularity, we can run out at any time. (We start seating at 5 p.m. in the main dining room.) We offer a different special almost every night, so we are actually pleased when we sell them all, and can move on to a new offering the next evening. Each salad, whether a house salad, a Caesar or a âGrist Mill Saladâ is made to order, carefully done so by our appetizer cooks. All of the ingredients are prepared fresh in house, ensuring the flavor profiles meet the chefâs expectations. We hope you decide to give us another chance, as we have been fortunate to have many happy, repeat customers this spring.Sincerely,The Grist Mill Management

Great meals and service in a comfortable casual atmosphere.
My husband and I have eaten in Lizzie Keays a few times now and we have never been disappointed! The food, service and ambience are exceptional. We just had dinner there yesterday and from start to finish it was 5 stars!! They serve fresh baked bread and seasoned sweet butter to start the meal. We both had the french onion soup which is to die for. I was going to order the salmon because I have had it there before and it was prepared perfect, and my husbands favorite is the crab stuffed shrimp. We got there late and they were out of the salmon and I decided to try the shrimp because my husband is always raving about it. It was so delicious and the rice and string beans with almonds was a perfect compliment. We were too full for dessert but I will say I have had the dessert before and it is as delicious as the rest of the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Lake George / Warrensburg area. You will enjoy it!!

Irish burger was large and cooked properly. Pulled brisket sandwich was very dry, and its topped onions just ok. French dip was tasty served with au jus and topped with cheese, but meat was dry. Roast beef sandwich on rye was very nice, lean and rare, served with French onion soup. Nothing special about French fries. Waitress was quite pleasant. Thank you for the detailed and honest reply. Poor oversight on our part on the dry brisket and French dip. We appreciate your feedback and down the road we'd love the opportunity to give you a better experience. Thank you.

Excellent place. Great waiter, too. Scallops appetizer was absolutely scrumptious and worth every penny. Beyond Burger with caramelized onions was tasty and Adirondack Orchard salad was excellent and very filling. The food was very fresh and portions big. Will definitely go back.
