The gilded lily with extra avocado is pretty yummy. I mean outrageously good. It's good even without the extra avocado but with that extra swath of richness it is a swell bite. For the picnic cocktail try the organic coconut water..and dont forget the straw!Thank you, we try our very best to make your experience great

Come here every year with family and friend from Truro. Long dinner as end talking while eating some good food. Good place for kids. Some outdoor space they can run and around in and play Corn Hole. Food is your basic seafood and sandwiches. All prepared very nicely and served by a friendly staff. Price is good.

Dinner at the Bass Tavern section of the Whitman House restaurant was pleasant and reasonably priced. I had the blackened swordfish, my family had the Whitman (seafood) sampler, small seafood sampler and garlic shrimp fettucine and they were all very good. It's hard to find a nice seafood restaurant in Cape Cod that's reasonably priced. The menu is also extensive. I would come back!

Iâm not even a fan, but who can resist lobster when youâre visiting the Cape? The Bookstore is consistently good.Originally our group of 5 hoped to sit in the outside deck upstairs. However, it was full and a bit cool. Nonetheless we could watch the gorgeous sunset from the our cozy table inside. Hungry from walking on the beach and not eating all day we started with cocktails and a 2 dozen oysters and little neck clams. The oysters are fresh wellsfelt and the clams were soft and juicy. Highly recommend this appetizer. For entreeâs we had lobster, baked cod, and Portuguese stew with salad, coleslaw and French fries. All were delicious! Desert was watching the sunset! Itâs classic Cape Cod.

Mac's Shack is all about the pure goodness of the season's local harvest. Your taste buds will shout "hello summer!" Ice cold Wellfleet Oysters, tender lobster dripping with butter, mouthwatering sushi, and the freshest seafood served on the Cape - made e
Mac's Shack was a welcome surprise in our mid-day jaunt around Wellfleet. Their menu seemed very similar to what they offer in the Provincetown restaurant, but I'd never been there for lunch. We sat outside at the Shack and had very fresh, well-prepared meals for our lunch. Perfect place to close out a nice end-of-summer weekend!

Three of us enjoyed a delicious dinner here during a recent trip to the Cape. The fish was very fresh and prepared beautifully and the menu was varied and interesting. We all enjoyed our dinners and the waitress was also friendly and attentive. We will definitely return next time we are in Wellfleet.

Our guests are mostly made up of families looking for an enjoyable evening out to eat with the kids or passersby intrigued by our string-lit patio. No matter what brings them in, our friendly staff is here to welcome everyone into our restaurant. Founded
We have eaten at Winslows many times over the years and we did a very positive review in 2014. Our meal earlier this month was also quite good and we enjoyed spending nice evening with our sister and brother-in-law who are great fans of the restaurant. The purpose of this review is to ask the owners to rethink your policy about bread for the table. In the past, dinners were served bread without a charge and more recently that policy was changed and a three dollar charge has been instituted. The amount of the charge is minimal and anyone dining at Winslows can certainly afford the cost, that is not the issue. The issue is that hospitality demands that guests who come to break bread with family and friends should not be charged for the bread. It sets forth a very negative vibe for the meal and the dining experience. You certainly could ask if bread was desired or not, but to charge for the bread seems quite inhospitable. Please rethink this policy with an eye towards creating a welcoming and hospitable ambiance to your restaurant.Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that you feel our decision to charge for bread is inhospitable; that was absolutely not our intent. We pride ourselves on providing a dining experience that over-delivers. It is quite possible the server did not apprise you of the policy change which was clearly a mistake, and I'm sorry for that. We carefully evaluated the policy of complimentary bread over the past three seasons, spoke to other local restauranteurs who charge for bread and there were a few factors which led to the decision that I'd like to make you aware of that many restaurant guests don't realize. We are supportive of long overdue increases in minimum wage and progressive health care and paid leave benefit packages in Massachusetts, but they challenge us to find ways to meet these rising costs without raising all prices across the board in a very competitive, very volatile and unstable seasonal market. We tracked the production of our bread against waste and loss and found that many guests accepted the complimentary bread and few ate most or all of it - which is also very true of water consumption. We chose to target only one elective item on the menu that could sustain a reasonable charge while minimizing waste. I do hope you decide to dine with us again. Cheers,Tracey Barry Hunt, GM/Owner

My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened several years ago with Eric Jansen. One of the most consistent restaurants for food and cocktails which keep us returning year after year. Not an easy place to find as the only sign you will find outside is a wrought iron black Fisk hanging from a tree outside near the road. Upon entering there is a small bar side with approximately 8-10 seats and a few other seats within the bar area but to the right you will find 2 dining areas which originally and may still be one with A/C and one without. We like the bar to watch the magic happen by both Cutis and Mozel. Both can muddle any type drink you want but a favorite there is the watermelon and basil martini ( wifeâs favorite ). If your looking for suggestions, begin with the bread and homemade hummus with olive oil and a hint of chili oil which is just excellent with drinks. There are several appetizers and salads to choose from but if you want a winner, try the frisée salad with a fried duck egg in pinko bread crumbs in a light vinegrette ....outstanding. We travel here for one reason and that is for the mussels in a Pernod cream sauce and about 1/4 lb. of Italian sweet sausage served with garlic bread. Be assured you will be asking for additional bread to sop up every ounce of the cream sauce....this is the best of the best. Other recommendations are the the Tuna Bolognese and their go to hamburger . Eric is also partnering with Truro Vineyards and there is a farm-to- table dinner every Wednesday night so check for times, prices, etc. The only downside to the Blackfish is its location as I wish it were closer to take advantage of their menu and the outstanding service they provide.

We were having trouble finding a restaurant that was open midweek in October on a cold and rainy night and stumbled across the Brick House in Eastham. The sign is not a good representation of the atmosphere. Once inside we were pleased with the comfortable surroundings, kind of a family feel but there were no children on this night. The waitress, Juliet, was attentive and friendly. We began with a bottle of Grechetto from Umbria, Italy and it was great ($33). I had a hankering for the Buffalo cauliflower appetizer and it was great ($10). My meal was the broiled salmon special and it was a great cut cooked to perfection. My wife had the scallops with curry and we agreed it was done just right. So our total for the evening was just under $100 (plus tip) and it was a great meal in a very nice place. Recommended
