What a great little town, my I husband and I were at a âBe in Health Conferenceâ this week and Thursday night we ate at The Pie and the staff was so friendly and the food delicious, it is a skatepark theme so the kids would love it. As you head to the bathroom there is a wall of graffiti and fun to read, all good!!

I had the snapper and it was very good. They cook the food after you order it so be prepared to sit awhile for you food to get ready. I suggest an appetizer. If you want hush puppies stop at Captain D's. No bread served with the meals. No salad served with the meal. No soups during the summer.

Thomaston is a beautiful town. Worth the trip to visit. Peachtree Cafe is absolutely awesome. The only problem is it closes at 2 and not open Saturdays. It is a fabulous buffet with home cooked goodies. Chicken and dumplings best ever. The corn bread dressing perfect. They have a green salad that was a wonderful suprise. I did not know lettuce could taste so good. The service is delightful with the servers handing out pieces of Corn bread cake, fried green tomatoes gratis as you eat your meal. I can't wait to go back.

We heard about this place on a Thursday and we went the following Friday. We wanted some good hot catfish and hot being the key word. Out the grease hot is very, very different than out the microwave hot when it comes to fish. LET ME TELL you the fish was to die for if you love catfish. It was hot like we love it. Man this was our first time going to this place but it surely wasn't our last time. My boyfriend tried the steak the on other time that we visited and it was great as well. They give you a good helping of food as well. Try this place out if you haven't already.

Family run old school bobbycue following family recipes decades old that are a solid today as they were 40 years ago. Pit smoked pork bobbycue piled hit on sandwiches with sides of rich hardy stew, beans and a sweet slaw. They know full well what they are doing. I urge you to let them do it to you too.

Justin's Place doesn't look like much from the outside, but if you stop, you won't be disappointed. The food is amazing, the service is friendly and efficient, and the prices are very reasonable. One of our party ordered 2 pork chops and they were gigantic, much larger than you normally get in a restaurant. The sides were good, too. Another person got a chicken salad & fruit plate. The chicken salad was homemade and delicious, full of grape slices, and there must have been at least half a pound of fresh fruit on the plate, including grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, orange, and apple. We would have liked to try the desserts, but we were too stuffed to even consider it.

We enjoyed our meal immensely. Quality ingredients prepared fresh. We tried several sandwiches but the salad bar looked inviting as well. They havea small gift shop area stocked with fudge, jams, soaps, wooden crafts and many other items. The staff was very friendly, courteous and accommodating. So glad that word of mouth recommendation was spot on!
