We came in with a group of 6 including my 84 year old wheelchair bound mother. We were greeted and seated very quickly. They brought us our drinks and took our order. Two of us ordered the fried chicken. It took over an hour to get our food. Once the chicken arrived it was over cooked and looked almost burnt. We wonât be back. Too many good places in Tehachapi to eat.

Big menu. Server that happened to see us walk in could have offered a "hello" but ignored us. Eventually realised we had to walk to the back to order. Friendly enough. Not overly keen on my burger but my friend enjoyed his (different) burger. Chilli cheese fries were good (and a meal in itself).

We had our breakfast here this morning. The staff is friendly and we were greeted and seated promptly. Service was very good. My partner had the chili verde omelet and I had a machaca omelet. His was outstanding with very tender slow cooked pork in a green chili sauce. Mine was OK, the machaca was well prepared, the toast and home fries were good. It was just that his looked...better. Coffee was decent and plentiful. We would eat here again in a heartbeat. Nothing fancy but solid, well prepared fresh food.

Wish weâd have stopped here years ago. The food was perfection, the service outstanding. It looks so much larger on the inside than out. Filet was cooked perfectly, salad satisfying and sautéed mushrooms very good. Husband had wings. They were large for wings. Stop by, donât wait as many years as we did.

My husband and I immensely enjoyed Steampunks large unusually varied menu, well prepared, high quality food, good ambiance, and the personal touch of the owner, Karen, and our waitress, Amy. Itâs a great, reliably good ( we ate here three times) place to eat on the road to Death Valley. Also, for those who like deserts, bagels, - they make those in house. Hummus plate is a treasure.

We enjoyed a hearty breakfast at Village Grill. You get a true local, neighborly feel inside with friendly and efficient staff. We ordered a Denver omelette and huevos rancheros and both well very good. Large servings, plenty of hot coffee. Husband said âbest Denver omelette heâs ever hadâ. Good recommendation! Would definitely recommend for any family. Nice atmosphere. Well priced with quick service.

I've had breakfast here a few times in the last couple of months. I had the bacon and eggs once, and the French toast the other time and both were great. The service is friendly and it's probably my favorite breakfast spot in town. I haven't had lunch here, but I'm told it is also good. Can't go wrong with this place!

Went for Friday night dinner before the mountain festival. The service was friendly and efficient. The Mac and cheese served on the childrenâs menu was disappointing, not really Mac and cheese that a young child will eat. The steak my wife ordered was excellent (although the Bernaise sauce was so-so), but the baked potato was not hot. The Asian chicken salad was good. The Old fashioned (watery) and margarita (chemical-tasting) were both disappointing. Prices are very reasonable.
