The chicken was done, hot and good. The people where friendly and fast. It's inside a truck stop but don't let that stop you. It's worth the stop
If you are craving eggs, bacon, hash browns and biscuits cooked to order after a long run- this is a good spot when you want something better than fast food.
Wow! Wish we had tried this place sooner! Not fancy, but the food is handmade & oh so good.Patty melt was big & juicy. Hubby had breakfast for lunch and everything was wonderful. Folks at next table had the pork chops (yes, two came with the meal), those chops were so big & thick!Young lady that waited on us was so sweet & very attentive with refilling our glasses & serving. The owner/chef came out & made sure we were all happy with our food choices & everyone gave a big thumbs up!This is a wonderful West Texas cafe & a hidden gem. Yum!
Although it was prime lunchtime the three folks (including manager?) seemed a bit overwhelmed. There was the regular who seemed able to do it all, but the other server wasn't up to the task. The manager did little to help. So we got backed up. Despite that, the regular made good sandwiches and made them up to par. Thanks for the good work.

Wonderful people, wonderful food! We actually hit it for Free Soup Day! I had their chicken tortilla soup along with my sandwich. The workers were very friendly and made certain our orders were correct. We even ordered their pecan bon bits, which they warmed for us.

This is located right in front of the Country Hearth Inn, the food is surprisingly excellent! I was on an 8-day road trips and all I could remember was this restaurant. All the fried food tasted fresh - that was very hard to do.
When you are traveling, tired, and hungry, this is an OK place. Close to a few overnight motels, I.e., Hampton, HI Express, etc. Easy off/ easy on IH20. Salad was very good. Lots of locals.

You sit at tables with strangers who quickly become neighbors. Fried chicken this good will open up your elbows and make everybody a friend. Fresh vegetables beans, corn, greens, peas and okra will flat out fill up a plate. Service is agreeable but there isnât too much conversation as everyone at our table was too busy eating.
