Fresh food, cocktails...a big town feel in a small town.
We stopped in 918 to check it out as it is the newest place in town. The menu was very impressive and quite tempting (for sandwiches) and I had a hard time choosing . It was quiet and clean. It took quite a while to get our food and my kids got antsy. When it came we were not disappointed as the sandwiches were delicious . I was a bit taken aback by the prices but would visit again.

good country cooking and nice family atmosphere in the dining room! Added bonus to a nice motel. Local family enjoyed it as well!

Stopped by and got the 4 meat meal with a hot link and two sides. I got the pulled pork, brisket, catfish, bologna, and a hot link. Sides I got green beans and okras. Really enjoyed the meal overall but disappointed with the brisket. Brisket is a hard meat to cook but this was not. The dryer side and a little cold. That was the only thing wrong. The bologna was great and what a surprise to find, pulled pork was juicy and tasty, hot links were good but spicy I wanted to eat more but the spicy made me drink too much ice tea. The car fish was good but fried and I try to stick to smoked food for my reviews. Last thing, the sides were good and the okra was great. Fried but not over fried.I would have given this 5 stars fist they got the brisket right but have found the brisket to be the hardest to maintain.

We stopped here with friends on. Saturday a bit before noon. Within a half hour, virtually every table was occupied. This is a small, quaint, early 20th century diner type cafe that has really excellent food and a quintessential Route 66 vibe. It has been featured on the TV food network, on Guy Fieriâs show...no doubt due to favorable word-of- mouth by travelers and locals who have eaten there. The Jaeger Schnitzel is excellent and the Reuben sandwich is also great.
