A Little Washington favorite among locals and visitors alike, Tulaâs Restaurant and Bar is an Open Table Dinersâ Choice Winner. Tulaâs dishes are created with a Southern American influence, featuring daily fresh oysters on the half shell and fresh seafood
Imagine this: you've been hiking in Shenandoah National Park for a couple of days and now you're on the way home. You're hot. It's hot outside. It's way past time for lunch. A vintner recommends Tula. You walk in and are greeted warmly. It's okay that you've got on your hiking boots and shorts even though the next table is filled with five nicely dressed people. The menu is short and sweet and filled with tempting items, but then you learn that there's a tomato cobbler special. You can have it savory or you can have it sweet for dessert. Tomato cobbler? Yep. The perfect July food. Tomatoes fresh from the garden. Goat cheese. Balsamic vinegar. And a perfect -- not too thick, not to thin -- crust. Delicious. If only Tula were in my neighborhood.
Today I enjoyed a fantastic lunch for 8 prepared at the Old Hollow. The crab cakes were loaded with lump and accompanied by a cocktail and tartar sauce. The pasta salad was tasty and the freshly made blueberry meringue pie was innovative and delicious. All enjoyed this wonderful lunch. Thanks, OH.

A Michelin Three Star, Forbes 5 Star, AAA 5 Diamond country house hotel retreat, The Inn at Little Washington presents exquisite American Cuisine with a French influence in a charming and sophisticated dining room. The sumptuous award-winning cuisine is a
There is probably not much more one can say about The Inn. It has truly earned a Michelin 3 start rating. This is a bona fide French 3 stars not the Americanized version. Having spent many years in Paris and having eaten at a number of Michelin starred restaurants, I think I can say that The Inn is legitimately at that level. From the 14k bottle cave to the exquisite menu and the delightful and attentive service, The Inn truly is worthy. This is a special occasion restaurant, there is no doubt about that. Pair it with a night at the Inn and youâll have a wonderful and memorable celebration. We did.
Healthy, flavorful breakfast & lunch; seasonal offerings from local farms; emphasis on vegan and vegetarian. The concept; global flavors, locally sourced, responsibly served. Eat and drink consciously, as every aspect of the business is designed with conc
My wife and I had lunch at âOff the Gridâ restaurant on Sunday, 6/30. A friend of ours recommended it.The overall experience was wonderful, from the time we walked in to when we left. The staff was courteous, kind and friendly . Gave once a wonderful explanation of the facility, the menus, food prep, etc. The restaurant itself was warm and welcoming. The menu was unique and everything sounded great. We ended up getting the Rock Star Wrap and the Pork Raman. They were absolutely delicious. I also ordered the home made fries - fantastic.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.Great experience

Food is 5 star. The chef is outstanding and presents each course in a beautiful arrangement. You just can't go wrong eating at the restaurant for dinner rather than eating at other establishments in town!

There was nothing wrong with this place in the two visits we made. Service was outstanding. Josh was terrific. Choices were varied and sandwiches and beer were really good. Tended to gluten free and any other issues. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

Owners Eric and Janet Tollefson have made Sperryville Trading, just outside Sperryville, Va;, on Rout 211 West, a restaurant to remember and return to - often.A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I stopped by for breakfast on our way over the mountain to Luray, Va.. Even though it was breakfast time, Janet made me her now-famous (according to me) Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Due to my allergies to cayenne and other spices she might use on her grill, she grills my sandwich in a heavy pan. The result is heaven - grilled pumpernickel swirl bread dripping with butter and loaded with sharp cheddar cheese. I could eat it every day!My husband ordered a wonderful omelet, filled with everything you could imagine, and accompanied with a flaky biscuit. He pronounced it the best biscuit he had ever had! Obviously, we are very happy when we are eating anything at Sperryville Trading. Our meal was paired with delicious coffee, and Eric entertained us with stories of how the restaurant came to be (see photos on their website of the original building). We also enjoyed touring the large dining room and seeing incredible photographs by several artists, including my friend Bette Hileman, whose large, beautiful scenic photograph graces the back wall of the room.We can't say enough wonderful things about Sperryville Trading! After breakfast, we had fun poking around in the bookstore down the hall from the restaurant. If you want a positive fun time and absolutely scrumptious food, go see Eric and Janet. And tell them Annie (the grilled cheese lover) and Mack sent you!Annie and Mack Rowe, Madison, Va.Annie and mack, You two are wonderful people and we truly enjoy and treasure movements with people like yourselves. It is our pleasure to provide you a good meal and experience. Thank you so much for the very kind words and your wonderful company. See you next time! -Eric & Janet

As a birthday present to myself I made reservations for friends to join me and my husband for a midweek getaway to try 3 Blacksmiths based on the Postâs Dining Guide. It was a perfect meal â elegant, delicious, surprising â perfectly prepared and perfectly delivered by the chefs and owners themselves. Probably the best meal we have ever had in a restaurant (which is saying a lot because weâve been dining out for many decades). John and Dianeâs love for what they create is evident in every detail and infuses the whole experience. Already planning our return next year.
