We stumbled upon this interesting restaurant on a quiet service road off the highway going into Stillwater. What a pleasant surprise! The restaurant resembles a cabin in the northwoods both inside and out. The food was superb and our server very pleasant and helpful. Prices were reasonable although drinks seemed a bit spendy. Whenever we are in the area again, this will be a must-return-to-restaurant for us. Average age seemed to be about 40 - no kids were there - and the piped in music while we dined was from the 1940s. Loved it!!!

Family owned and operated since 1990. We had a fire in 2009 and took 8 months to remodel and start from the ground up and we added on a roof top patio. We take pride in serving the best experience we possibly can to you and other customers. We offer 45 ta
The food and service were both amazing! Everyone should be sure to check out the rooftop patio...it has a separate bar and food service available as well. This is not my first visit. We love Champs!Thank you hsbeachgirl for the great 5 STAR review and feedback! Nice weather like today and the roof should be open for the rest of the summer!

Serves Breakfast All Day & The Best Burgers in the Valley!
We had wanted to try this place for while and finally made a point to do it. We were terribly disappointed. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. That was very nice. Our waitress at first was really on the spot and very friendly. She immediately brought water and said she would be back with our beverages. A group of four sat next to us, and the server doted on them. She got their drinks and took their food order. It was not until I said something about our drinks that she came over and then said she forgot about us. She took our food order and then said she would bring out drinks. Our food arrived before the people next to us, thankfully. Had it not, we were going to walk. She offered 1 free mimosa but not of us were drinking alcohol so we found that odd. Our bill came the same time the people next to us. In 5 minutes she was back taking their bill and never acknowledged us. After waiting 15 minutes, I walked inside to pay my bill. I was looked at many times but never acknowledged. When I said something about paying my bill I was told my server would take care of it, very rudely. I explained we had waited 15 minutes already and were ready to leave. I was told i had to wait for our server. I then told the person, that we would be leaving and if they wanted to get paid they would take the payment now. Finally, they took our payment. Just terrible experience. I have never seen such terrible service. Now the food, it was OK. All of the burgers are made well done and they would not make it any other way. My friend ordered one to try and it was dry and hard. Please, if you want good food and service, do not some here.

My husband and I raved about this restaurant to our friends. I read the reviews which were further confirmed by our B & B host. I ordered the Blackened Scallops which just melted in my mouth, complemented by seasoned soba noodles and vegetables. My husband had one of the specials, swordfish on a bed of rice, and puréed creamy carrots. The service was very good, the tables comfortably apart from each other. Conversation was easy. We highly recommend this restaurant and will eat here again.

Old fashioned Burgers & Malts. Featuring Full Service Dining, Walk-Up Window Ice Cream & an Outdoor Patio. Located in the heart of historic Stillwater, MN on the St. Croix River.
This is such a fun place to eat! The hamburger was delicious and the fries were from fresh cut potatoes. My husband had a hot fudge sundae served in an old fashioned glass fountain dish. In addition to the great food the atmosphere takes you back to the good old days, when things were a little more gentle and kind. We sang along to the juke box music of the 50âs and 60âs and thoroughly enjoyed the trip back in time.

We dropped in here for dinner during a short vacation. Itâs a busy venue, with an open kitchen (which I like). Clearly a popular spot â crowded and somewhat noisy. My wife had a hamburger, which she declared delicious! Done to her specifications. I had Korean BBQ steak tacos, which were terrific. Korean chili paste provided lots of flavor and just the right amount of heat. The fries were flavorful â I had the rosemary flavored, which werenât a lot different from my wifeâs plain fries. But it was all good. And the service was good, despite the crowd. Lolo is a good find.
Took a very beautifyl ride over to Somerset enjoy a couple beverages then ordered up the Cheese Curds $ 6.50 (made with real Wisconsin Cheese) and Beer Batter Cod $ 7.50 for appetizers then topped that off with Bacon Cheeseburger $ 5.75. Delicious food.

We travel through Somerset regularly and usually dine at the Sportsman's for an early dinner or to pick up take-out. As mentioned earlier there are occasions where the female tending bar is polite but not welcoming; however, we've always gotten decent service, especially for a fairly quick turnaround from the kitchen. I've not been disappointed with anything I've ordered over the years. Our favorites are the patty melt, which my husband says is the best he's found. Also, the Chicken ranch sandwich and my favorite is the cat fish roll up.If you're ordering the onion strings, be prepared for a huge plate-full, even the half order is more than enough for 2 people.

The café was clean and comfortable. The menu is awesome. Something for everyone in your party. Not the usual menu choices, a good change from the norm. The kids liked the menu and food as well. The café was quite busy when we arrived and it took some time for a wait person, but once one came we were attended to with friendly and prompt service.

I was severely disappointed this visit. They had one bag of taco cheese curds left. That's not the flavor that I was looking for, but it was the last bag. They said that their equipment was broken and that they didn't know how long it was going to be like that. I brag about this place all of the time yo my buddies in Atlanta, it was disappointing not to bring back the quality cheese from here that I told them about
