Discover Restaurants offering the best American food in Silverton, Oregon, United States. Silverton is a city in Marion County, Oregon, United States. The city is situated along the 45th parallel about 12 miles (19 km) northeast of Salem, in the eastern margins of the broad alluvial plain of the Willamette Valley. The city is named after Silver Creek, which flows through the town from Silver Falls into the Pudding River, and thence into the Willamette River. Silverton was originally called Milford, then Silver Creek; on July 16, 1855, Silver Creek became Silverton. Human habitation of the Silverton area extends back approximately 6,000 years before the present. In historical times, the region was dominated by the Kalapuya and Molala peoples, whose seasonal burns of the area made it plow-ready and attractive to early 19th century Euro-American settlers. Farming was Silverton's first major industry, and has been a dominant land-use activity in and around Silverton since the mid-19th century.

While vacationing and visiting with friends, the Wooden Nickel had been recommended...and it was well worth the lunch visit. Jalapeño corn bread was amongst the best weâd ever had...but after the server said âbrisketâ and âTraegerâ I didnât hear much else. All the food was outstanding, but the brisket was even better than that! Highly recommend this place...

While on vacation you can get tired of restaurant food, but this little spot was a true delight. The food was excellent and very fresh; the beer selection was extensive and the wait staff was very willing to help with selections. It was low- to mid-range pricing. There was outdoor seating that would have been pleasant in warmer weather. A real find in a small town!

First off....this used to be a brothel. That gets your attention, yes? This explains the various paintings of voluptuous women about the restaurant. But seriously, they make their own sausage, which you can add to the Mac and cheese for a wonderful bowl of goodness. Sit on the deck in the back, next to the creek? River? Whatever, a body of water. The servers varied in kindness, from being very friendly to just doing their job. The friendly one told us where we could buy the sausage, which is made at another bar owned by the same owner as Macs. Itâs called The Wooden Nickel. So we stopped there and bought a dozen sausages and pepperoni. Their menu looked fantastic too.So stopping in Silverton after a days hike at Silver Falls is well worth the time. Cute little town! Enjoy!!!

Good food, service and view. Our server Matt was outstanding and the food was wonderful specifically the Surf and Turf...my husband said it was the best steak he has had in many, many years. The Caesar Salad with grilled Chicken was outstanding.

A friendly and inviting space open for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast menu is creative and full of possibilities, somewhat expensive. However, having enjoyed the smoked salmon hash, I can say it was worth every penny! A delicious concoction of Yukon Gold potatoes, lemon dill creme fraiche, capers and a generous piece of smoked salmon--all perfectly spiced and with two poached eggs on top, I was in breakfast heaven! Choice of toast included a housemade English muffin, accompanied by strawberry jam made in-house too. I was so satisfied with everything about this meal! Art on the walls and a child playspace meant there was something for just about everyone.

This is our third time here, while attending the Bach Festival at Mt. Angel Abbey. We had an excellent meal the first time, and a so-so meal the second time. We like to explore during the days, and enjoy the music and food in the evening at the Abbey. This time was great again, Cuban style tacos. The first time, we had watched trout below us in the stream. This time, the water may have been a bit low to support the fish, but it was still a lovely experience, nonetheless. The glass of wine was a little slim. We will visit this restaurant every time we come to Silverton. It is a very sweet experience, especially if you can sit outside and watch the stream flowing by.

We had a wonderful meal at Silver. Started with a salad and then the main course. I had a lamb special and my wife had the tenderloin. Both excellent. We even splurged and had desert. Service was excellent. They have an extensive wine list. We had a Spanish blend that was wonderful and not too expensive. Highly recommended. We would gladly go back.
