The Lakeview house is an 1850 farm house that has been lovingly restored. Old meets new in the bar area where you can catch the game on one of several flat screen TV's while surrounded by antiques adorning the walls. Meals are made from scratch, and weath
We are in this area a few times a year and like to try different places, whether it's a hotel or a restaurant. We were staying next door at the Holiday Inn Express and it was freezing out (I think around 4°) so we walked over to the Lake-view House for dinner. We figured out after the fact that the menu we must have seen earlier in the day at the hotel was the pub menu. We were expecting Burgers and wings but the dinner menu was expensive steaks and seafood. We ended up spending $70 for two people (and no alcohol). My daughter and I ordered steaks, which came with the salad bar. It was all good but the vibe there was kind of odd and I was annoyed (at myself, I guess) for spending so much money on a quick dinner. Hard to put my finger on it .. but it just felt like an old persons restaurant. If money is no object, you will probably like this place more than I did.

This place sells an amazing array of beer and wine, including truly difficult to find varieties. It also serves excellent sandwiches of all sorts from the deli, so it's a great combination in terms of service provision. The deli gets very busy around lunch time, so plan accordingly, but they do move people along quickly. It's a perfect spot to pick up food and drink for a picnic or if you're just on the run. Excellent craft beers available!

We ended up here because the restaurant we had planned on visiting couldn't seat us.What a nice gift from the fates. First of all, our waitress, Laurie was a pure delight. At her recommendation we ordered the cauliflower "wings". They were a great alternative to chicken wings, plus no bones. The fried dill pickles were way better than the flat chips. These were little crispy spears.I ordered the fish and chips which served me well for dinner and lunch the next day. My husband enjoyed the Aloha Poke Bowl & 5 grain medley. We will definitely go back!

The Dutch Mill is a small family-owned restaurant. They serve breakfast all day and there are many additional entrees available on the specials menu. The food is always very good and the service is often entertaining. The Dutch Mill is a great choice if members of your party are looking for both breakfast and lunch entrees.

Breakfast at this restaurant topped off a great week long vacation in Quebec. I had the quinoa bowl - fresh and delicious. I asked for jam for my toast and waitress brought a small bowl of delicious jam made from a blackberry from Oregon; a delicious detail. If you like real food, you will enjoy this restaurant.Hello VCF-Chicago, so happy that you enjoyed your meal at Pauline's! Went here for dinner on my birthday because I had said I wanted to go to a place I had not been before. The strip steak and everything with it was absolutely delicious. We were seated behind the fireplace at one end, which gave a greater feeling of privacy (but anywhere would have been good). The service was friendly but not at all intrusive and the atmosphere comfortable. I really cannot recall a more pleasant dining experience in Vermont.

We had no idea this was such a great little restaurant. Judging by the outside you wouldn't know. It is very much where the locals go. Everything was top notch, very good and efficient service. My son loved the fried mushrooms, best he ever had and he is the fried mushroom expert!

Beautiful old building and exceptional gardens and grounds right on Lake Champlain. Gorgeous spot for breakfast or dinner. Tables available out on the patio or in the small dining room inside.
