Went for lunch. I ordered a medium rare cheeseburger which was cooked perfectly. It came on a toasted brioche bun. Husband ordered steak and cheese sub - which his immediate comment was "this is not those store bought steam-ums". We also went for breakfast one morning - I ordered the meal with ONE scrambled egg - it must have been a goose egg - it was huge. Everything cooked well and delicious. Fast and very friendly service.

Rollie's Bar and Grill Your kind of place on a Good day, Bad day, and everyday between.See you there.
We went on a Wednesday night around 8 pm. The place was really busy, but we were able to seat ourselves at a booth in the bar area. Just a note of caution about the booths, they are hard as sitting on a rock, so a table with chairs might be a better choice. The weather has been hot in Belfast, so the area we were in was not that comfortable. But, there are some tables in what looks to be an addition to the building in the rear that was very comfortable, but all tables taken when we came in. I ordered a Manhattan from Katie, our server, that was well put together. My wife ordered the "special" prime rib sandwich for $15.98. And I ordered the Reuben. The prime rib sandwich came out with no au jus sauce. Our server said the batch had come out tasting not right. So, she brought out a bowl of like chicken gravy instead after we asked for something! The meat in the sandwich was like shoe sole leather. She ate about 1/2 of of a half of the sandwich and gave up. My Reuben was good, but a little on the dry side. The onions rings were not great. When it came time for the bill, we told our server that the prime rib sandwich was unacceptable (as she could clearly see with 3/4 of it still on the plate) and needed to be taken off the bill. A credit of $11.59 was given for the bad sandwich. Not sure how they came to that amount, but better than a sharp stick in the eye. I'm thinking stick to burgers and wings at this place.

Steaks, seafood and kicked up comfort food on Belfast Harbor. Sit outside on our deck steps from the harbor in season or inside in our cozy dining room year round. Open for lunch and dinner every day. Daily specials, local seafood and produce, local beer
This is a friendly, comfortable spot with excellent views of the harbor. The food was good, but not spectacular. We had their lobster Mac & cheese and seafood pie. We also shared a Caesar salad which was both large and good. This is a good spot for a casual dinner with a view.

Traveling by boat, stopped today in Belfast. Very nice town, we have visited before. Today we had lunch at DARBYâs. Friendly and attentive service, including one younger gentleman who was very helpful. Lunch was two diff lobster rolls, one butter and one mayo style, a Budda bowl, and turkey melt. Nice menu. Good fries. I still cannot decide which style I prefer for lobster rolls... will continue my research. We all were very happy. Bonus was a VERY nice key lime pie. Good local draft list.

Another well deserved 5-star review. Our last meal during our vacation to Maine. Why 5-stars?-gracious and genuine hospitality.-incredible decor. It's like I walked into a magazine spread. I wanted everything including the colors on the walls!-A bathtub in the bathroom with flowers-whimsical and it made me smile-a Duncan Phyfe couch in our dining room. And yes I took a little lay-down before dessert. -generous portions and flavors to remember. Even with a limited menu you can find something to eat here. I'm a vegetarian and I enjoyed the pasta with goat cheese. -owners came out to greet us. My fiancé and my best friend's fiancé are restaurant owners and chefs and it was really cool to see them all talking and interacting. Such incredible owners. -they're going to convert one of the rooms into a bar in the near future. Yay!-the signature margarita with pickled blueberries. No need to go to Mexico. The best is right here. -Dessert. just save room. We were so full but the guys ordered two desserts for the table. I was like "out of my way..."We're supposed to get married next year. Haven't found the right venueThinking about this one for a destination!

Ocean's Edge Restaurant specializes in quality cuisine, made fresh and served in a comfortable, casual atmosphere with exceptional views of Penobscot Bay.
My Wife and I were staying at the hotel that connects to this restaurant over Memorial Day weekend. In the past, I have typically found that eateries physically connected to hotels lack a bit in taste, quality, or are overpriced for the product that you receive. This is NOT the case for âThe Oceanâs Edgeâ. We were promptly seated near one of the windows that provided a great, wide view of Penobscot Bay. The wait staff was friendly, and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. My Wife ordered the âBaked Stuffed Halibutâ, which came with a side of wild rice, and broiled seasonal veggies. I chose the âSeafood Platterâ- seafood broiled, not fried, with the same side choices. Our order arrived surprisingly quickly, given that the place was fairly full of guests. Both entrees were prepared nearly perfectly, with ample serving sizes to meet even my âneedsâ (I am a âbigâ eater). My Wife couldnât finish her meal due to the larger serving sizes, and our server offered to wrap the actual dinner plate up for her to take to our room, rather than offering a styrofoam container. This proved to be very beneficial to the taste quality when she later heated up the leftovers for a late evening âsnackâ. Great service, terrific waitstaff, delicious food, large serving sizes, and a fantastic view of the nearby bay to boot...I doubt that we could have visited a better place to enjoy a âweekend awayâ meal. Great job to all concerned! We will return again, to be sure.Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad that you and your wife enjoyed everything! I agree with you that, typically, hotel restaurants are only a place to fill a dietary hole. I am fortunate to have a wonderful culinary and service team who genuinely care about a guest's experience. I hope that you two can visit us again soon.Sincerely,Barry Asalone

Could this be a dream!? Walking distance from our Airbnb. Incredible selection and high-quality and fair prices. Incredible space. Savory Breakfast items & we returned later for the incredible produce, we had delicious draft beer too. 4 great friends gathering for a "big" birthday and what a way to kick it off. Friendly genuine staff. Expect to be here every day. Anyone who lives here is very fortunate to have Chase's in their neighborhood. As a vegetarian for 42 years and remembering the slim pickings all those decades ago it brings a smile to my face to see the incredible creativity and talent that is evident now & especially here.Their homemade hot sauce is incredible. I bought a bottle to take home with me and i know it won't last long. Their cookies and cupcakes are decadent!! Truly a highlight of our visit to Maine.

Seeking more fresh seafood, we stumbled on Youngs. When we walked up, we were addressed by a team of employees. It seemed like they were jockeying for position, and pushy like taxi cab drivers. We took a few minutes to figure out what we wanted, which seemed to upset our order taker. We had the haddock sandwich, and a crab sandwich. We also ordered chowder. Everything was fine, but took longer than we expected. Maybe we were expecting something different service-wise, but the view on the water more than made up for whatever we missed otherwise.

A busy locals place, with large selection of mostly seafood and sides. Our server was exceptionally friendly. Fried scallops beat out a bland looking broiled selection. Amazing piece of blueberry pie, and weâve tried a few.

The Coastal Cafe in Searsport proved an unexpectedly fulfilling find. A bit more than a couple of hours from Portland, it is a great lunch stop for those headed to Mount Desert Island and environs. The cooking is from scratch, the ingredients fresh, and the portions very large. They serve breakfast all day plus have a sizable lunch menu. The presentation of each dish was lovely. Half of the ham and cheese sandwich would satisfy all but the most robust of appetites. The home-made corn-beef hash was really yummy, generously endowed with flavor and moist with butter or oil ( not sure which) -- it was the real thing that could keep a lumberjack going all day. The omelet was awesome. The home-made pickles were crisp and feisty.
