On a beautiful Sunday afternoon while traveling through Scituate, I decided to have lunch at The Mill Wharf Restaurant & Pub. The location is active and beautiful with boaters navigating their vessels by the restaurant and nearby marina. The upper pub has both inside and outside seating. I ended up seated at the bar because I also wanted to catch some of the baseball game. The bartender was busy but not overwhelmed. I ordered a craft beer on draft and decided to start with a cup of New England Clam Chowder. The chowder had a creamy base with large chunks of clams and potatoes. For my meal, I decided on the Baked Scrod with cole slaw and carrots. The scrod was cooked perfectly with a light bread crumb topping. The cole slaw was fresh but the carrots were a bit overcooked. I have eaten at this restaurant several times in the past but have never written about it. Overall my meal was good and I would come back as I have already proven to myself. The location is just fabulous and adds to the allure of the Mill Wharf Restaurant. Not sure if I would want to come to this location on a cold New England winter day but you never know.

Six of us stopped here on a Tuesday evening for dinner. The place was really busy, but we were seated within ten minutes. The atmosphere is local pub. They had entertainment a singer who was very good. Tuesdays are taco Tuesdays, so three in our group had the tacos. Everyone enjoyed them, the tacos are good size the pulled pork and shrimp were the favorites. One person had a salad with shrimp the salad was crisp and fresh and the shrimp were good size. Two of us had the ribs which were tender and very flavorful, they were a half rack, the baked beans and coleslaw were also very good. They have a good selection of craft beers. The service was quick and friendly. We will definitely return. It is a little loud but a fun atmosphere.

My wife and I waited at the bar until friends came for us to be seated at a table. Alan, the bartender is a great guy and very attentive. Portions are large. The Bacon Mac and Cheese was humongous and would feed two people. All fresh food including side vegetables. The curried chips are a must. A British style curried gravy over french fries...Awesome! The grilled shrimp app. was great too. Love the ambiance. Cozy and warm pub atmosphere.

This is a small place, but well worth a visit. We sat at the bar to take advantage of the happy hour discounted oysters. They were fresh, juicy, and flavorful. The cocktails were good, and the service was friendly. We'd also shared a few appetizers, nothing was wow...but they were good.

A nice setting overlooking the Harbor, watching the boats come and go added to a delightful meal. Lunch with my sisters brought us to Mill Wharf in Scituate, and in spite of it being a busy Saturday, we were seated promptly on the deck (in the shade... good thing because it was hot!). Our waitress was very good, and before we knew it our drinks had arrived and shortly after, the stuffed quahogs appetizer. Shortly after finishing the appetizer, our meal arrived. No longer living near the ocean, whenever I am back, my "go to" tends to be a clam roll. I was not disappointed. It was excellent. Sweet and tender clams accompanied by excellent onion rings. IT was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the meal and location and at no time did we ever feel like we were being rushed. Meals at Mill Wharf are affordable and won't disappoint.

Vacationed here in may, felt hungry and just popped in because it was there, inside a little shabby, but the subs are excellent, friendly staff pack your sub with great fillings, loved the Italian.

Located in the heart of Scituate harbor, Oro offers fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere, where the highest quality ingredients from local farmers are selected and showcased.
Oroâs menu is filled with some interesting combinations. I enjoyed my spicy chicken and spanakopita with tzatziki. The chicken was not very spicy but it was very tender and juicy. The crispy pork chop with veggies and spaetzle was tasty as was the honey glazed salmon with rice cake and veggies. The bread served before the meal was hot and fresh from the oven. The plain olive oil dipping sauce could have used some spices to liven it up. A big problem is the noise level. Even though the bar/lounge area is separated by a wall, the noise carried into the dining room. However, we enjoyed our meals and would definitely return to try some of the other unique combinations.

I recently dinned at the Satuit for lunch. I inquired is the smelts were still on the menue and they said YES! So I ordered them. Out came those beautiful golden fried fish ona bed of fries and crowned with onion rings. Unquestionably, Satuit serves the BEST smelts on the South Shore. The fish platter with a bowl of fish chowder didn't look to bad either. They know how to serve seafood the right way. I slept so soundly that night with visions of flying fish in my dreams. I'll be back again!

The Barker Tavern is a fully restored 17th century building, home to a quiet casual fine dining restaurant and lively Eli's Pub, both serving new american cuisine. The historic restaurant and modern ball room sit on top of a hill overlooking Scituate harb
This is the 5 star restaurant on the South Shore. A great place for a romantic dinner, birthday party, anniversary celebration, or a wedding. The early American and authentic decor add to the experience. The menu is varied and their beef, poultry, and seafood dinners are succulent. The desserts are also delicious. A must for a special dinner.
