Just like its namesake Farley, the popular San Francisco Chronicle comic-strip character created by the late Phil Frank, Farley Bar is a Bay Area favorite. Understated and relaxing, it offers a small-plate menu, creative cocktails, cozy fireplaces, leathe
I will sometimes frequent this bar as a local and have been twice with my wife. Last time we were there, we had a few cocktails and appetizers. While it's a great spot to take in the view of the bay and the city, a nice break from traffic, that's about it. We felt burned by the $94 bill before tax and tip, for what we got. The tuna appetizer was TINY and flavorless. My wife and I each got a bad oyster, the tiny ones for $3.50 each, and she ended up with violent stomach cramps and on the toilet later that night. I just noticed that mine tasted "off".My advice: split a burger, stick to beer and wine, avoid the overpriced, stingy, everything-else. Now I realize that this bar is part of the sheeshee Cavallo Point Lodge, a $400+/night experience with loaner Lexuses on sight to explore Sausalito, but that doesn't excuse the stingy portions and poorly executed fare.Last thing, I have enjoyed the solo singer/guitarists they have.Dear DavidS,I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience at Farley Bar, our oysters are fresh and locally sourced but unfortunately there is some risk involved, I am very sorry to hear about your wife's experience.Sincerely,Brendan Carlin

You line up and wait for your order to be placed and then you grab a table and wait for your fish. I had the fish tacos and they were spicy and tasty. My wife had a salad with crab and the others had what they described as a terrific Portuguese fish soup, a crab roll and fish and chips. We ate outside overlooking the bay in the sun.

Stopped by around 2:30. Sat at the bar and ordered drinks. The wife had her favorite, the Italian Margarita. I hesitated, but asked the bartender if he was any good at making an Old Fashion. He said, "You're testing. me?" "Yes!" Glad I challenged him because when he asked for orange peel and not an orange wedge. I knew he had skills. We also decided to have the calamari which was tender and very good. Very cozy and warm place.

We stopped in Sausalito on our drive from San Francisco to Napa for a quick mid morning coffee break. This lovely cafe with outdoor seating was just the thing! The service at the counter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered freshly baked chocolate croissants & excellent cinnamon rolls with the right amount of frosting (not mile-high globs of it) with our cafe lattes. For the beautiful location by the bay everything was remarkably reasonable.

My party of 3 tourists (senior citizens) were tired and hungry on a Wednesday afternoon in July 2019. We walked through downtown Sausalito looking for a restaurant, but all the restaurants had crowds or very high prices. Then we found Venice Pizza. We sat indoors, which was hot and poorly ventilated on this sunny July afternoon. But the pizza pie was good and after sitting for a while we felt more comfortable. And after eating the good food, we felt great. I am glad we found an affordable lunch spot. Good experience.

After researching Trip Advisor, I decided to stop at this place for a late breakfast. Small, quaint and packed; they didnât disappoint. I sat at the bar watching the cook place banana slices on the Mickey Mouse pancakes for kids while enjoying my eggs, fresh hash browns and real freshly sliced sour dough toast (the best).

Locals and visitors from around the world have been enjoying fresh seafood in this 19th century Victorian building. A historic landmark and family owned for over 40 years, Scoma's is surrounded by the beauty of the San Francisco bay.
We had a lovely lunch here for an anniversary during a day trip to Sausalito from SF. The restaurant is beautifully situated, hanging over the water. Inside it has a real colonial feel and is very elegant. Crisp white table cloths etc. We both had the curried mussels as a starter which were amazing, the sauce was a coconut milk based curry and it was divine. We then both had the double lobster tails which were equally fabulous. All washed down with a bottle of Sancerre. No room for dessert sadly. The food was lovely and our waiter was charming and very efficient. The only reason for 4 stars not 5 is that, given the price of our meal, we felt rushed. We were quite near the door and very aware of lots of hustle and bustle, with guests waiting to be seated loitering around. It wasn't quite the relaxed atmosphere we hoped for. However, given it's location in Sausalito I guess we should not be too surprised.

Classic Sausalito spot serving Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch for over 50 years! Try our special omelets, fluffy pancakes and unique french toast made with ice cream and grilled to perfection. Great for recovering after a wild night out or a meal with the fa
We had lemon ricotta pancakes, eggs and bacon, and an omelet. The food was delicious and the service was stellar. We were welcomed even though it was coming close to the end of their brunch service. They made sure we had everything wanted and were so friendly. It is small cafe, a bit off the beaten path which was exactly what we were looking for; if you want to escape the busy tourist scene near the ferry, this is the place for you!

This place was truly amazing. The atmosphere, staff, and food were really beyond my positive adjectives. We had duck confit eggs Benedict and the house special berry crepes. Both were A+++. Thanks to the chef and management. One of my favorite meals ever! This is what we like to hear! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. It's comments like "one of my favorite meals ever!" that make us love what we do that much more and work even harder. We look forward to serving you again soon.
