Things to do in San Carlos
Just opened this season and it is a great addition to our selection of good places to eat. It could be called a sports bar but more than just bar food. Inside and outside seating. Alex the owner is always there and wants your feedback. Best wings in town, good burgers, sandwiches. Music afternoons and evenings. Recommend give it a try!
We are a family-owned restaurant serving authentic Mexican and American breakfast and lunch for 18yea
Usually go here for coffee with girlfriends. Not your Starbucks kind of place, but they do a good job. Itâs kind of a community gathering spot, with tables in and out....near the marina. Hiram does a great job of taking care of you. Recently went for lunch...a newer service of theirs...and had enchiladas. Delicious and a good value! They have ice cream, breakfast treats and on weekends have things like eggs Benedict. Greatbgathering spot!
We love this restaurant. Service here is absolutely the best. The owner even talked with us ! The atmosphere is beautiful!. We were in town a week with friends and we ate here several times. This restaurant has been open here about 16 months. It is centrally located on the main road through San Carlos. The food is very good and even better the prices are really economical ! Refills on coffee at breakfast no charge, and ice tea refills are included at dinner !!! You will not be nickeled and dimed here ! It is a great value! Certain nights a week there is live music. Great Bar service, clean restrooms, cloth napkins and tablecloths. You will Love It!

If you're going to San Carlos to party with over-the-hill Gringos, then you'll fit right in here. There was a nice cover band playing 60's and 70's music that, naturally, attracted people that came of age in that era. If you're looking for a young, hip crowd you might want to head over to Soggy Peso or La Salsa. That being said, the food was great. In fact, the mushroom/bacon number served with hot tortillas was one of the best things I ate in San Carlos. Simply delicious. However, it was a bit hard to swallow while watching the old folks bumping and grinding to nostalgic Rolling Stones and Carly Simon tunes.

When you first arrive in most Mexican towns, there is an adjustment period getting used to the cooking methods and differences between Mexico and the States. So like many, we'd been ordering drinks with no ice and bottled water only. And before our recent dinner at Boyes' I'd been mainly ordering fish or pasta. But eventually the thought of a yummy burger crosses your mind and you start looking for an establishment that will fit the bill for tasty gourmet burgers - and this is it!!!Yup, I was reticent. But Boyes' burgers are tasty, fresh, and straight up fabulous. The onion rings are okay and the jalapeno poppers were overcooked. But for the most part this was a most pleasant dinner with burgers and fries. One of our party also ordered a vanilla milkshake and declared it scrumptious! The servers are attentive. The food is very good. The value is obvious.Even picky eaters will be delighted!

Started going here for the live music, the outdoor dining and the fabulous pizza. Then we had them cook the fish we caught one day, and that was amazing. Lately, I've been hooked on their chili rellenos: two ginormous peppers stuffed with lots of cheese and dipped in egg. Rice and beans and salsa to top it off. There's definitely enough for leftovers. The BBQ ribs are good as well. So far, haven't had anything mediocre and we've been here 5-6 times.

Our group was disappointed that a restaurant in a beach community had no fish. It's a puzzle. But two of us had shrimp -- one order sauteed and the other fried. Both were good and in generous portions. The pulled pork sandwich as served on a hoagie bun and was flavorful. The taco salad was long on lettuce but was good.Atmosphere is dim and dominated by TVs.

In the heart of San Carlos, on the Main strip, you can find Colibri. This restaurant is located right behind the middle OXXO. For those of you that stay here for weeks and months at a time, you will love the cuisine. I enjoyed a goat cheese and beet salad and a brick-oven pizza. Hubby had grilled shrimp over risotto and the house specialty salad. Our friends raved about their filet mignon. Great service and a nice change from the usual Mexican menu.

We have bee in San Carlos for two weeks , have tried many restaurants and had only one poor experience. We leave today and chose Delfines for our last meal here. We have eaten here several times, both for lunch and for dinner, and have never been disappointed. It definitely is a gringo restaurant and has no view but it has consistently good and reasonable priced (but not cheap) food, excellent service, good drinks and enjoyable entertainment at the outside seating area.We recommend this restaurant as our favourite in San Carlos.

This restaurant came recommended firstly for their milkshakes, and secondly for a fantastic breakfast. We had breakfast there and all five of us were quite happy with our food. I'd like to mention at this point that this is the type of restaurant where you order your food at the front counter, and pay for it right away. They bring it out to you when it is ready. The booths were a little small for five people, so I pulled up one of their red plastic chairs and added it to the end of the table.I suppose if it was a traditional restaurant where there was more service, I would have given this place four stars, instead of three. I will not hesitate to go back before the end of this vacation and try one of their milkshakes.
