Made reservations for 8 for Friday evening holiday celebration. We were met by receptionist who escorted us to our reserved table. Beyond our table was a large party gathering for 50th birthday celebration. This was a happy celebration, but very noisy and the group were drinking and continued to open the door to the outside where is was 40'F. We made repeated attempts to close door by wait staff and once by one member of our party. Our drink orders were taken and I was disappointed there were no oranges for traditional Old Fashion. The other members of our group enjoyed wine or beer. In time we did order our meals. The BBQ brisket special was too fatty. The Nawlin Shrimp and Grits was bland. The Shrimp St Francis was good. The steaks were good, but not especially tender. The Tuna order as medium rare, came out rare. Overall the food was OK, but nothng to rave about. Because of all the noise we were not able to have an enjoyable quiet holiday gathering. The waitress did an ok job, but had to be found to refill drinks and was not very attentive. She did do a good job of separate checks.
The new owners did wonders for âThe Innâ. The parlor and dining areas are fabulously decorated in a eclectic shabby chic/antique blend. The new front landscaping and pool courtyard are both first class with significant attention to detail. The plans for the new bar look like it will be equally impressive. The two owners we super accommodating, engaging and openly sharing of their new plans. For lunch our entire family ordered the Plantation Breakfast of Scrambled Egg, flavorful cheese grits, homemade biscuits cooked on an waffle iron, thick cut bacon & hickory sausage. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal, coffee, tea and mimosas! Very happy to have a wonderful ânewâ spot to enjoy.

When touring St. Francisville you must stop in for either breakfast or lunch. It is not too far from downtown St. Francisville and well worth your time. The wait staff are the most friendly people you will ever meet. I miss it already.

Wood grilled with Pecan flavor. Southern Louisiana Cuisine done upscale and with care. It's good to see a high quality offering return to the Myrtles Plantation site. Service is beginning to find its stride. Wine list is adequate. Give them a try.

Itâs good to know that I could trust my fellow reviewers to guide us to this restaurant north of St. Francisville. The atmosphere was pleasant, management was attentive, the service was pleasing, and the food came out hot. This last characteristic (hot food) is usually the best indicator of the overall satisfaction of a restaurant. We were very pleased with the quality and quantity of our meals. The onion rings were a great start to this wonderful meal. My dish was the fried shrimp salad, which consisted of fresh greens, boiled egg, and about three dozen fresh, hot shrimp! Definitely a pleasant experience!

I took my daughters, (15 & 11) and a friend on a small weekend getaway to St. Francisville, to visit the plantations in the area. This cafe was so cute! The staff was very nice, the food was delicious. My daughter ordered the magnolia salad with grilled shrimp and it was HUGE! The spicy shrimp poboy was amazing! They even had pizza for my picky youngster. It was a bit pricey, but I did have a souvenir shirt added to the food portion of the bill.

We stopped here after a vsist to Rosedown on a Sunday afternoon. As restaurants in this area on a Sunday can be hard to find, we were happy to find it so close to the plantation. Service was fast and friendly. Outside service under the oak tree is available but no recommended in August. Our gluten free diner with dairy allergies was able to find dishes to suit them.
