The chicken used here is a lot better quality then at the other chicken chains. The portions and large and great quality for fried chicken. The gravy they use is light and the sides are very good.Don't forget to try the sweet tea.

WOW! This place has the best jambalaya - thick, SPICY, loaded with shrimp, sausage, chicken, green pepper, celery, onion and okra (could use a little more okra) -- ladled over perfectly prepared rice (not hard, not mushy) -- accompanied by two thick pieces of grilled bread. Did I mention, WOW! Fun, kitschy atmosphere. Fast, friendly service. Buy-one, get-one coupons seem readily available, so great values can be had. Oh, and wonderful hush puppies!

Food: Lunch/breakfast are all served from open to close. I had the Migas and my 2 year old son had 1 scrambled egg with some fresh cut strawberries. He finished his plate and I loved mine, but with such a big serving of Migas, I had leftovers at the end. The salsa served with the migas was very good. It had a hint of spice and a hint of sweetness, but it worked really well. I am used to having more corn tortillas in my migas, but it was a pleasantly tasty change to have just the crispy tortilla strips on top. I was worried when it came out because the onions were still so white (thinking they'd taste strong and be undercooked) but they didn't taste or feel undercooked, so that was nice. My only quality issue was that 1 of my 3 tortillas was crispy on half of it. When I asked the waitress for a softer one, she brought me a cold tortilla. I think it was a communication issue, but I was slightly disappointed by that. I noticed that all the food at other tables looked great, from sausage and eggs to chicken fried steak and of course pancakes.Price: The menu as a whole seems a bit overpriced for the area, but the serving size really does make it a decent deal. As a cheap person, I'd prefer smaller servings with cheaper prices, but the value was there. I refused to pay over $6 for a toddler's breakfast, so that's why I decided to order his food from the "sides" section of the menu. We were there around 11:30am and I couldn't decide between lunch/breakfast. The cheaper breakfast prices are what helped my decision. Service: This place is tiny and the newness of it means it is BUSY! The host was doing his best and was very polite, but he almost sat the people who entered after me before my son and I. I had to ask him to please sit us first. There's only enough room for maybe 8 people to wait inside (very close to each other) so most people having to wait did so outside in the cold. It probably took my waitress about 10 minutes to come introduce herself to me, but I didn't mind since another lady had already taken my drink order, and a man had checked in on us as well. The entire time we were there, those 3 people worked well together to make sure we got whatever we needed. After eating, I stacked all of our silverware on our plates, put all our cups together, and then probably had to wait about 10 minutes before my waitress brought my check. (that was a little annoying with a toddler). I noticed the staff asking to take others' finished plates throughout our meal. Again, I think it was just so busy that they were doing the best they could. Lastly, you pay at the counter which is a little annoying since there are so many people crowded in that area. Overall this place is tasty. I'm sure I'll go again, but I doubt I'll take a large group during busy hours without maybe calling ahead for a table if they allow that. It seemed like any party over 2 was having to wait. I think it would be smart for the restaurant to incorporate a few more 2-seater tables, as there were several 4-seater tables that only had 2 people occupying them. Space was wasted while others were waiting for a table.

I had lunch with a coworker at this Burger Island location today. The decor left much to be desired, and the room was very dark. There were just a few customers, and I expected more for the noon hour. There were no prices, at least that I could see, on the menu behind the counter. Needless to say I was not expecting much in the way of food. I was wrong!I ordered the cheesesteak combo. The sandwich, although a bit greasy and I ended up eating it in pieces, was amazing. There was a deep, robust cheese flavor like I have never tasted on a cheesesteak. The steak, onions and mushrooms were cooked to perfection. I am not a big French fry fan, but these hand cut and top notch. My friend and I shared an order of fried mushrooms, which in itself was meal. They were fried to perfection, served with a side of Ranch dressing.Next time I am going to try the double Jungle burger, a behemoth of a burger that stands over 6 inches high and is just as wide!

We have been to Texas Roadhouse several times, moving over from another steakhouse in the area that couldn't seem to get our steak cooked right. I love the call-ahead service. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient and the rolls are delicious! My husband ordered the sirloin medium well and it came out perfect. Same for the next few times we dined there. Maybe something changed in the kitchen, but the next 4 times we came, his medium well steak came out between medium rare and medium. All 4 times he had to send it back, while I was sitting with my food in front of me getting cold. We had talked with a manager and she apologized, but obviously nothing has been done. I guess we'll have to find another steakhouse that can cook his steak correctly the first time.

Houlihan's

Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.

We were doing errands and stopped by for lunch. We have gone to Houlihans numerous times and can always know the food will be fresh, service good, they have a guarantee if your lunch doesn't come out in a timely manner there is a perk. We didn't accept the challenge, we were not on a schedule. Service is always friendly and takes care of your needs. I ordered soup and salad and hubby ordered a hamburger cooked to order.

The food here is has always been good. Service varies but most of the time it’s very good. You get all the vegetables you want to eat served family style. Each person picks the meat they want and the vegetables are whatever they have that day. Biscuits are excellent. Only negative thing I have to say is the so-called salad is only lettuce. No tomatoes or anything else in it.
