We have used them for several get togethers and Bday parties. We have purchased small individual pies for adult parties and cupcakes for children's , as well as a delicious apple crumbcake for my daughters Bday party. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the sandwiches are very good.
I had their Blonde Merlin beer, which I like. A light color beer and just taste good. My wife had the watermelon beer from another vendor. We had the sunshine quesadilla for a snack, came with salsa and ranch dressing . Service was great, the room was had a lot of history on their wall. The bathroom was very clean. All the staff was very nice to us.
Good cafe with simple, fresh food. I was disappointed I couldn't find their menu online anywhere before giving it a try. Salad with grilled chicken was very fresh, with romaine and mixed greens, and tomato soup was tasty. My husband had the 1-pound(?!?) burger, which he said was fine - enough to satisfy anyone looking for a burger. Staff is friendly, and they were a little slow for those of us on a time crunch for lunch, but if you're a retiree looking for a good lunch cafe, this hits the spot. Stop in the garden shop afterward, they have cute stuff, though a bit overpriced for locals.

This is a great fly-in or drive to restaurant. It is a great lunch place and would highly recommend the restaurant. Eat indoors or out doors if the weather is great (like today). The burrito was excellent! I had the banana pudding for dessert that was also a delight!. Music on the patio. This is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant that is on the airport that serves great food in a great atmosphere. Ron is only open for lunch Tues-Sun. Closed on Mondays. If you are looking for something different check it out.

We stopped in for lunch. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I had the pastrami grinder. It was generous in size and very good. My husband got a chicken Parmesan grinder and he said it was tasty. He enjoyed the sauce and the quality of chicken was good. Everything appeared clean and well arranged. Parking is not a problem. We enjoyed our lunch and will stop back!

We should have gotten a clue when we stood at the door for 15 minutes without an acknowledgement but we were optimistic... boy, we're we wrong! 2 hour wait for an omelet that was not cooked through, and a grilled cheese sandwich for Mom that was dry and tasteless. The positives: clean bathroom, dining area nicely done and clean. Local art for sale added interest, nice view from front porch area. I would never go there again, never ever.

My wife and I ate at Barley's last time we visited Rutherford County and my first TripAdvisor review (Nov., 2017) pretty much sums up our opinions about the place. We both had different dishes for dinner this time, primarily to see if we just happened to have chosen two dishes they specialize in, and I can report, they must specialize in the 4 dishes we have had, because we both were very well pleased with not only the food, but the presentation on the dishes as well. We really enjoy the food here, as well as the friendly people. Not just the staff, but the diners as well. My last review didn't mention the fact the restaurant has two seating areas. It seems to have been two stores, side by side at one time. They've got separate entries to the outside as well as a big door adjoining the two now. One side has plenty of seating, a long bar, a couple of quiet TV's and would have to be the quieter side of the two. The other also has a bar, 3 or more TVs, also muted, & pinball machines, maybe a pool table, and a bandstand in the back. Live bands on certain nights of the week, maybe. More family activity there, children's sounds included. Which is fine. We had two little kiddos once ourselves. Servings are delicious and large. You won't leave here hungry. We plan to be back the next time we're in the area.

We stopped by on a day trip to Rutherfordton after reading reviews here. The people were very nice, but the food was average at best. The shake was imitation flavored and the burger was full of fresh toppings but the meat itself was such low quality. This is a fine place for a casual stop, and once again, the people were so friendly. It just didn't meet our expectations.

Cool place that meets expectations for service, food quality and pricing in my book. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the old warehouse, they did a great job turning it into a restaurant! Food was great and plenty of it! I had the grilled shrimp tacos and they were really good! Tried the first place in Forest City a few years ago, and this new place in Rutherfordton is worth your effort to try!

Very busy restaurant. NO acoustics in this place. It did not take long before our order came; warm not hot. The meal did not meet our expectations. Evidently the salad bar was good because there were people at the bar as long as we were there.
