I came here with my parents and fiance for a joint birthday celebration. While Verona was a bit out of the way for both of us, we were very happy that we ended up here.We kicked things off with the Firecracker Calamari, which is basically my dream of a perfect dish. Crispy calamari with hot cherry peppers, olives, capers, scallions, garlic, and balsamic - heaven. The taste was just like I hoped - I wish more places had this. We also had the Baked Brie appetizer, which was tasty as well and served with raspberry sauce and grilled crostini. For my main, I went with the short rib. It was cooked to perfection, and I left stuffed and satisfied. Added bonus - they had the Devils game on. Overall, a great dining experience and joint birthday celebration that we'll remember.

Both myself and my wife did not care for our meals. Soups also lacked flavor. Two grandkids chicken fingers and grilled cheese along with fries were OK. Both our desserts chocolate cake and vanilla /rice pudding were also poor and thus did not finish.Good location for visiting grandkids but unfortunately we will not return

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. No wait. We were seated on the right hand side in a booth. The ceilings are lower there and it makes things noisier. It was definitely difficult to engage in conversation. Started with a cup of tea and it was barely warm. Server went and had it microwaved rather than getting a new cup. I know because it was 2/3 full and came back 2/3 full with sweetener already in it. Had the pancakes and they are massive. Too much food.My wife had an omelet which was made to order and she liked it. It came with toast which was slightly burnt (see photo). Overall a good experience.

When I was a kid, there were a dozen or more Jewish delis in this area. Eppes Essen is the sole survivor from those days, mostly because it became too expensive to make a proper hot pastrami or Reuben without cutting corners or scrimping on the meat -- hence the "exorbitant prices" that others complain about. Yes, the entrees are expensive -- but most of them will feed two (or 3 or 4), so take that into consideration, and do some sharing, and all of a sudden the check is fairly reasonable. Plus, you can order things like kasha varnishkas that only your grandmother still knows how to make properly, if she's still around. And the nostalgia factor is simply priceless. If you like traditional Jewish soul food, made properly, this is pretty much the only place, other than grandma's house, that you're going to find it. Long live Eppie's!

This pancake house is one of the best - always busy - a good sign and worth the wait . Fresh fruit and strawberry crepe is my favourite. Egg receipties - recommend this place.

We had the pleasure of enjoying Christmas Dinner in the Ala Carte dining room. They had a price fixe menu on this day, but it had everything you would want to order on it. Our entire meal was perfect, drinks terrific, atmosphere could not be nicer and a fine class of people. Service is very attentive and personable. We especially enjoyed the Piano Player who made for a perfect Christmas dinner and evening. We always enjoy The Manor.

Went Tuesday for lunch. Sat in back atrium area. Pleasant with lots of natural light. Also outside patio seating available in good weather. Server was very nice and efficient but not especially attentive and restaurant was not crowded. Hamburger was very good and waffle fries were excellent.

Par 440 Restaurant and Lounge on the East Orange Golf Course in Shorts Hills. You can indulge in a wide variety of fresh foods. Like brick oven pizza or sushi prepared fresh by a master sushi chef. Relax and enjoy a cocktail at the bar with friends and co
The food is excellent. The chef is flexible--there are not a lot of vegetarian choices listed but changes can be made. Sitting outside on the back porch overlooking the golf course is a treat in pleasant weather. Wait staff is pleasant and efficient.
