My inlaws have lived in this area for years and we alway liked this Golden Corral... Was my mother in laws favorite restaurant to go to.. She liked the meatloaf and pot roast... Meatloaf really was good this time also...Along with the brisket very good...For some reason we really enjoy this place better than some others in this chain... They offer alot of southern cooked veggies which does mean rather over cooked to me but hubby loves them.. Enjoyed their potato salad..hush puppies.. not to forget the carrot and cheese cake... Don't forget to take a bag of cotton candy with you they have it bagged up.. Anyways we had fun and ate too much.. don't miss the yeast rolls they keep bringing out warm.. They refilled our drinks nicely and she was a friendly young lady.. We were there to visit for awhile and it was fun... They do have an area they use for groups that have used in the past
I ran into this Subway in Reidsville about a mile west of US 29 to grab my wife a veggie sub. She is vegan, and the veggie sub with Italian bread meets here dietary needs. The food was good and the service quick. The lady also was able to get me reward points even though I forgot my rewards card. Overall it was a good place to get a quick cheap meal.

We have been going to Mayflower in Reidsville for years, even before the new place had to be built after the fire. Love their daily specials, especially the popcorn shrimp!! Clean, bright and yummy. Wait staff is very courteous. Last few times the baked potatoes have been dryLook forward to many more visits

Best breakfast in town! Biscuits and Chicken are good but the Chicken and Dumplings are the best around!! One of the best values for breakfast or lunch you will find anywhere! Pintos and cornbread, meatloaf and veggies are among other tasty things you will find here. You will not be disappointed!

I have been wanting to go there for dinner but noticed a couple of months ago that they were not opened. Apparently the owner didn't feel the dinner crowd was enough to keep open. That was very disappointing since I cannot make it there for lunch or breakfast. I miss my evening vegetables. They were so good but now I have no options in Reidsville since Sanitary's food is nasty at night. I also miss my favorite server Shannon. She was awesome!

Small family style restaurant that has a good small town feel. Servers were very nice and accommodating. The food was kind of a disappointment due to preparation and taste. Biscuit and gravy was fairly bland and the biscuit was scorched on the bottom. Pork Chops were very thin and fairly tough. Eggs over easy were prepared properly. That might seem like no big deal but it is surprising how many restaurants cannot prepare them correctly. They have a lot of potential but need to take a step back and look at their food quality with a critical eye.

My wife and I went on a Sunday drive and ended up in Reidsville. The Sanitary Café was crowded with cars and seemed like a popular local place. We were right. A very friendly restaurant with excellent food, service, and value. Veronica is a terrific waitress. She took our order promptly.Portions are generous. My tilapia/shrimp combination was delicious. My wife's popcorn shrimp was terrific. The hush puppies were the best. The salad croutons were a little crunchy. We also asked that my wife's lemonade be replaced with water (lemonade seemed a little flat).Dessert was excellent-warm peach cobbler-homemade.We would highly recommend Sanitary Café to everyone.

Get Down, Get Downtown For Great Freshly Made Sandwiches, Soups and Salads ! Get A Great Meal For About 5 Dollars !
Eclectic place in downtown Reidsville. Order at the counter and take a seat until they call your number. Hamburgers (and actually anything served in a bun) are huge. Food was good and the place was packed with regulars, which is always a good sign. The retro decorations are entertaining and some of the snacks and candies are right out of my childhood. One complaint - they don't do fries! But other than that, it was a pleasant find in Reidsville! Thanks so much for this groovie review ! Get Down, Get Downtown !

The bbq was wonderful. They cook it over a fire and it gives it the best smokey taste. It was moist and flavorful. Sometimes 'que is dry, but not at Short Sugars. We had an old restaurant.com certificate and they were so nice to take care of it for us. We used the take out, but they offer tables to sit at, a lunch counter and curb service. Anytime we are in Reidsville, and they are open, we'll be back.
