This is a nice little country resturant located out in the countryside. They have the most excellent wings and fries. Stopped in and enjoyed friendly service and the owner and head cook even came out to greet us. Very fast service and very delicious. Would highly recommend this place.

Another local place in Punxsy that was similar to a diner. I was here for lunch and they had a $5.99 buffet. I usually stay away from buffet's but this was very good. Not a huge selection but the homemade chicken salad is worth a return visit. They had a salad bar and pizza too. I was not disappointed. The service was fast and delivered with a smile so what else can you ask for when in a strange town? I would come back.
I stopped in with a group of 8 adults for a quick lunch and was immediately surprised by the high, scenic venue upon entering the establishment: generous window views of the country club, complimented by a wrap-around, unenclosed dine-on balcony were magnificent. The wait staff was not only attentive but experts at both menu contents and recommendations according to taste preferences. "Jaime" waited on us expertly, not missing a single need, charming us through the whole meal. The menu, while succinct, was focused and diverse. I had the Bleu Burger and a ham and bean soup as an appetizer. Tableware was contemporary and very classy. The soup was hearty and extremely flavorful, leaving me wanting a bowl rather than a cup. Immediately I noticed my burger was generously sized, fresh and formed in-kitchen, cooked to order perfectly and packed with great flavor. Conversely, it was not so big as to be daunting and sloppy to eat. Fresh bleu cheese crumbles were ample and sharply flavored. Moreover, the restaurant was very busy without feeling cramped and without the waitstaff seeming beleaguered. Kevin, the owner, checked in on us twice, also lending his charm and welcome to our experience. I found myself strongly desiring an evening meal with my wife on the balcony with a much more rounded meal; certainly it would prove to be a stunningly satisfying dining experience. In a small town where cheap food done poorly is the norm, finding a dining experience with refinement and excellence that afforded us comfort and ambiance was a total surprise. I'd recommend this to ANYONE looking for something upscale, delicious and comfortable.

The Anchor Inn opened in 1925 and has been passed down through the generations to where it is today. This is a hometown, family run restaurant where everyone has memories! We offer lunch and dinner in our dining room. We serve the community with our banqu

Not going to count this place out entirely but we were not thrilled. Our order was messed up and the food had like no seasoning. The brownie from the bakery was good thatâs about it. Iâll give it a try for breakfast next time...

I'll simply explain that just a week ago, we were first-time visitors to Punxsutawney, PA, to see the Groundhog. Where do you eat in these small towns? Sure, check TripAdvisor, but restaurants can seem run-of-the-mill unless locals point out a favorite. We chose Neko's because of a few more positive reviews than other establishments. Now, I'll stop here and reveal our experience.Food: Get...The...Bread! This isn't your ordinary italian loaf of bread with your food. This is spiral-cut, garlic & butter smothered on top and small loafs that aren't overwhelming. The server explained that each meal gets a loaf, but most people don't eat both loaves, so they provide one per table. We loved it and asked for the additional loaf! We're a family of short people, and it may be a result of getting up at 3:00am, but we ate both loaves! We ordered the 4-layer lasagna each, and it was really, really good! This place deserves recognition by the locals. If we come back again next year we will spread the word!Service: A+ Young lady did a fantastic job. She laughed at our crazy Groundhog adventure. She was attentive and kind.Efficiency: Fast! No issues. It was 2:00pm Feb. 2nd.Cleanliness: Great! No issues.

Very good home cooking.
So glad we chose this spot for breakfast while on vacation. The food was delicious. The coffee was fantastic. The service was wonderful! Our family of four was full and we tipped generously for a mere $40. The place is clean, employees are friendly, and the place plays homage to Punxy Phil without going overboard...too much. :)
