Weâve eaten breakfast & dinner here. The food is very good. I especially love the breakfast â¤ï¸ & the cheese burgers fries & onion rings. Honestly I havenât ordered anything here that I havenât loved. Highly recommend you add this to the list of places to eat. Mom & pop run local restaurant. Great Americana food selections.
Buffet with limited items. Brisket a little tough, bends plastic fork. Ice Tea has iron oxide taste. The building hasn't been used for a long time. Paper plates, plastic utensils, no tray, you may have to make a few trips to get everything to your table. Price is $16, i think $12 would be more reasonable.

I left Port Lavaca for my entry inot the larger world fifty years ago. On returns to visit my mom and dad over the years, we loved going to this little 'greasy spoon' for pretty good BBQ. But in winter, the real magic happend!! Fresh bay oysters fried perfectly with large mound of french fries....mmmmmmmmmI returned last week for the first time since my dad passed nine years ago. Whites was till the same little place and the oysters were still fantastic!

Near the coast with a name Bayside Seafood Restaurant, we expected fresh, good seafood. Apparently this was a Chinese restaurant prior, decor, etc. but we decided to try it. I was happy to see grilled options, I ordered stuffed flounder and grilled shrimp. It was extremely dry and tasted like it had been frozen for some time and quickly thawed. My husband ordered red fish and shrimp, grilled, Again, dry and old tasting. Service was barley average and the prices were above average. Will NOT visit again.

Stopped by this place en route to Rockport. It self identifies as a sports bar. The interior is a bit tired. Restaurant wasn't very full at lunch on Sunday. They had quite a few servers who were busy, but it still took a little long to order. The menu is quite long with many interesting options. I decided on the Caesar salad for a light lunch. The Romaine lettuce and salad dressing were very good. There was just short of a bag of croutons on the dish which was odd. I was satisfied overall.

Home style cooking, bakery that offers homemade pies and ding dongs, and cheesecake factory cakes, voted best steaks in Calhoun county 2 years in row, hungry yet!
I was expecting so much more from the reviews I had read. The place looked sad when we walked in about 6:30 on a Saturday night very dated and shabby. Lots of random decor and odd colors. My husband ordered wings and the salad bar. The wings were just ok and the salad bar was small and several items were empty. ($11.00 for the salad bar)I ordered the ânewâ grilled salmon salad expecting a nice fresh piece of salmon. What I got was a gray piece of tastelessness fish. It was in no way fresh or grilled as expected. The salad was all lettuce with two small pieces of tomato and a few cucumbers. The lettuce was fresh at least. I also ordered a side of veggies with extra butter. The vegetables were from frozen and the âbutterâ was a pod of whipped vegetable oil, yuck! Service was good and the waitress were friendly. Add one beer to the tab and total was $40. Not worth the price for marginal food.Thank you for the review. We are sorry to hear that you had a less than stellar experience. We want to work hard for our guests to ensure that they have the best possible experience, each and every time they choose us. We hope you will allow us an opportunity to better serve you again.
