Port Hueneme (/waɪˈniːmi/ wy-NEEM-ee) is a small beach city in Ventura County, California surrounded by the city of Oxnard and the Santa Barbara Channel. The name derives from the Spanish spelling of the Ventureño phrase wene me, meaning "Resting Place". Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo explored this area and the adjacent Channel Islands in October 1542. The town's name was officially changed to Port Hueneme in 1939 and was incorporated March 24, 1948.

Enjoyed lunch at the Waterside Restaurant and Wine Bar with friends on a beautiful Southern California day. The out door dining at the side of the harbor allows well behaved dogs, a plus for our canine loving friends. Ambience is casual. Service was just OK, and the menu is somewhat limited. However the sand dabs with garlic mash potatoes were outstanding, including the zucchini. The wine list is moderate, but has some nice selections; we order the Jordan Russian River chard that went nice with the meals. Great spot for al fresco dining waterside in Oxnard with man's (humans?) best friend.

We went to Hollywood Beach cafe after not the best weekend.They took my blues away. Delightful breakfast beautifully plated in nice dishes . It felt so comfortable and welcoming. Simple surroundings. Outstanding attentive and friendly service. Simple homey and wonderful. You can see why itâs s localâs favorite.

We stopped by after a few hours on the beach. Food was good, fast service, & perfect location on the beach. We sat inside but there is seating outside if you prefer. Much to choose from on the menu. I really enjoyed this place!

We had to wait 30-45 mins for a table, not because it was over crowded but under staffed that day. NOT THEIR FAULT.....I think everyone had something different, full breakfast/brunch. Good, and the waitress was extremely attentive. Came several times with coffee refills.

Quincy Street Ltd definitely has a old-school, retro vibe that is very cool. We had an early dinner on a Saturday night and had great service. Nice options on the menu; pasta, burgers/sandwiches, salads. Really enjoyed their eggplant parmesan; my friend had their special pasta romano which had a nice under taste of nutmeg to give the cream sauce so flavour. Hubby had the seared ahi and enjoyed it. Some nice wines and beers to choose from. Would definitely return. By the time we left, they were pretty busy so looks like a popular spot!

Large menu. Deli with average sandwiches. Our party of four had mixed opinions as to their food. One enjoyed their Chicken Fried Steak. Potato salad tasted homemade. My sandwich seemed small, overpriced and nothinges to write home about. Place had a cramped & unwelcoming feel to it. No plans on returning.

Many great things to say about Body Fuel. I personally liked the décor; the restaurant is so clean you could eat off the floor ! The food was excellent, we had the BBQ chopped chicken salad and the pulled pork sandwich. Both very generous portions and both very good. Enjoyed talking to the staff there, all very friendly. What a nice place to have breakfast. Crowded but quickly seated, Service was attentive through out our time there. Great menu selections for all . Food was served hot and the taste was beyond our expectations.Another good choice from the reviewers. We will return here if in the area.

Sea Fresh is adjacent the beach and in the marina. There is plenty of free parking. The restaurant provides a quality experience at reasonable prices. Service is quick and staff is very professional. The menu is very diverse and provides just about something for everyone.
