Every couple of months I try and give this place another try but my experience is always the same, I end up leaving so mad I can barely see straight. The people are rude once you get them to come to the speaker or quit running their mouths long enough to take your order!! When trying to order they act like your asking them to rob a bank or something! Then you you have to wait at least 15 minutes or longer on your food! You better not leave without making sure your order is right because its usually not! Save yourself the headache and go up the road to Spuds.
We're Always Cookin' There's something about a freshly made meal, prepared just for you. Maybe it's a waffle sundae to celebrate the day you get your braces off, or a plate full of loaded hash browns after a Saturday morning soccer game. Whatever the occa
Sat at the lunch counter, which put me close to where the grill/cook/manager were. When I sat down, my waitress was eating lunch to my right. The manager was training a cook. Training is understandable, but this persons voice was a loud, continuous run for about 20 minutes 'correcting' errors. A few minutes would have been OK, but at the loud volume and time it was downright annoying. A calmer and quieter tone of voice would been been much more appropriate and effective for training purposes. I felt sorry for the cook so maybe I'm biased there. This was on a Thursday around 1 so it was lunchtime busy, however that is all the more reason to keep your voice down with all those people around. We all had to listen to it, no choice in the matter. Maybe just hit it on an off day. Food was OK. 1 star for the environment.
This is a great restaurant to visit if you are looking for "wow" atmosphere and good food. It is set in an antebellum home that is up to date inside and out. The back yard is wonderland in itself with brick pavers, outdoor dining, spiral staircase, and a balcony with a dining area. We ordered steak and the blackened catfish fillet with craw-fish sauce. Both were really good, not over seasoned. For desert it was caramel cobbler with ice cream....soo good! Service was top notch and friendly drink glasses were never under a 1/3 from full. Parking is on North College Street and take the sidewalk into the back of the house. As you enter the door, dining room will be a few steps in and to the right. The gift shop is to the left and also where you will pay for your meal. After you have had a great supper, take time to look around at the place, it's sure to make you feel at home.

Couldn't really taste the Swiss on the bacon Swiss chicken sandwich. But, it was warm and fast just as a fast food joint should be.

This USED TO BE a great restaurant. The parents (Paul & Bonnie) of the current owner of Kirk's previously owned two similar restaurants that were absolutely Fantastic. The food and service was 5 stars at both establishments. Lunchtime was usually standing in line to order and sometimes waiting for somewhere to be seated as well.I'm not completely sure when Kirks restaurant opened but it was at least 13 or 14 years ago. When it opened the father was often seen in the restaurant and took an active role in helping his son get it off the ground. Not surprisingly, the food and service at Kirks was outstanding. It was by far my favorite restaurant in Pontotoc. I live approximately 12 miles from there but oftentimes on Friday night my wife and I would either drive over or I would go get take out and bring it back home.I just dropped by for a quick lunch because my favorite restaurant just down the street had closed for the week of the 4th. The buffet looked so lousy that decided to order off the menu. I tried a shrimp Po Boy and it was awful. I am so sorry to say this about what was formerly one of my favorite places to eat but the quality of the food has gradually deteriorated to the point that we no longer eat there. .

We are a small southern meets Cajun restaurant. Our chef was born down in New Orleans and he brings those flavors to the hills of north Mississippi.
Boondocks was rated # 1 and we agree. It is not fancy just very ordinary except the food, service was excellent. Great creole food. It was also very reasonable.

Doubt you will find a URL but it is listed with the Pontotoc, MS Chamber of commerce
This is one of my most favorite restaurants in the area! We've been going here for years. If we have a special occasion, we're probably going to eat here! The all you can eat catfish is a great deal! It's what my husband always gets. The best we've ever had! I always get the steak, and it's amazing. The best steak I have ever eaten! The sides are always fabulous. Hush puppies are to die for. The prices are great as well. The place is old, and you can get your own room for your family. It's usually a little wait, but it's worth it! Keep in mind they only accept checks or cash. It doesn't matter how many years we've been going to this place, I ALWAYS forget, and my husband has to go allll the way back to town to get cash out of the atm.

A must popular local stop especially if youâre riding the Tanglefoot Bike Trail. A neat, clean well organized eatery with friendly service, great food all at a reasonable price! You may order from the menu, select the food bar served cafeteria style (food plated for you as you select) , a salad bar and an actual bar. Wife and I had the Reuben with fresh cut fries and chocolate cobbler for dessert...delicious! Donât go in or near Pontotoc without stopping here.
