Brass Eagle Inn

We were looking for a place near Intercourse, where we were staying, to get early drinks and dinner at a reasonable price. It seemed from their website that the restaurant had a happy hour, so we headed out. When we arrived, we asked the hostess in the restaurant if Happy Hour was still on, and she looked at us like we were speaking Martian, and said "..uh..uh.. no". Apparently she knew nothing about the bar around back and downstairs which DID have a happy hour.We decided to have dinner anyway and asked our waitress why the hostess knew nothing about a happy hour, and she informed us there was a bar around back and downstairs, so we thanked her and went around to check it out.As soon as we opened the door we turned right around and left as the smell of cigarettes came streaming out of the place. We did not know that Pennsylvania allowed smoking in bars, so were not willing to endure it for a drink. So we went back upstairs. The menu was OK.. nothing special. I had veal parmiagiana and my wife had chicken parmigiana. Both were decent meals at reasonable prices. The service was a little slow but not bad. All in all the experience was fine but not exceptional. Also had a decent red wine with the meal. Again, just average. If you don't mind smoke, go ahead downstairs and tell us what it was like. Otherwise, stay upstairs for a decent and reasonable family meal, if you aren't looking for fine dining.

Someone else completed the order w/ the correction. The original order taker took the payment, snatching the money out of my hand. The item that I needed most the coffee was not right no cream and sugar. I applaud the second person stepping in getting thing moving.

Dutch-Way Family Restaurant

This small restaurant largely skipped my attention until some friends recommended the reasonably priced buffet. We tried it out on seafood night, which is around $22 per person, with an additional $10 per person for the crab legs upgrade. We chose not to do the upgrade on this trip. Pros: Nice family dining atmosphere, good service, and friendly staff. Reasonable prices, and a buffet with all the essentials. Even though we dined on seafood night, there was still plenty of fried chicken, meatloaf, ham loaf, and sides. Also, soups and a dessert bar. Cons: The seafood offerings (aside from crab legs) were kind of basic. Several types of shrimp, clam strips, some filets, "crab" salad. There was an empty pan of blackened salmon that did not get refilled. I was impressed they had mussels. The fried chicken was dry, although my 7 year old loved it. My husband really enjoyed eating here and we will definitely be back soon. I love that it's a smaller restaurant with mostly local customers. There was no lines or buses. It was busy but also quieter than the bigger buffets. Overall, it's a winner.

Chili's

Two of my daughters recently made great strides in their careers. We like to celebrate accomplishments and the girls chose Chili's as the place to do it. We really enjoyed this event. Our waiter - Brian - was exceptional. He was patient, friendly, funny and very energetic. He went the extra mile to ensure that we had everything we desired. First he brought chips and salsa and our drinks. We chose a wide variety of entrees and all were prepared and presented well. I had the Ancho Salmon with rice and broccoli. My wife had a Classic Ribeye steak. The "kids" had "Loaded Wings" and a variety of Mexican dishes that were all tasty. We relaxed, had good conversation and were well pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. TVs featuring a variety of programming were on to check out if desired. There is a full bar and we noticed that take-out is available.Hi John, thank you so much for taking the time to send us this feedback. We love hearing about the great service you recently received from John at our West Sadsbury Chili's. We hope you'll come back and celebrate with us again soon!

Stopped in today for lunch - tried the Smokehouse Brisket sandwich. While their standard roast beef has seemed lackluster for the past few years, the Brisket & Angus offerings seem to have raised the bar. The brisket had a good flavor & the quality of the meat was better than average. The restaurant was clean & the staff friendly. It is worth putting Arby's back on the go-to fast food list!

Well, while it is known for its hot dogs, you can not imagine how wonderful the fine dining food is also. We have the NY Strip and the Asiago Fettucine Alfredo, both which compared to Philadelphia fine dining restaurants. I offered my wife the steak knife and she said she was cutting through the 14 oz steak with her butter knife. Awesome!! Appetizers were wonderful also. Will come again.

Recently revisited Harry's for the first time in a while. I had always enjoyed them when I worked in the area years ago, so thought I would try them again. They are even better than I remember. The trademark hotdogs are still available, but the menu has been expanded significantly. I had one of the best hamburgers I have enjoyed in a long time. My wife's chicken sandwich was also outstanding. Service was fine and the setting is still comfy and simple. Parking is also easily accessed. They have also added a very nice outside seating deck. And you can enjoy a nice beer with lunch from the bar. They are located out in the country side of Chester County, but are well worth the drive.

Spacious brewery, plenty of seating, you can be seated at a table or seat yourself by the bar. menu items to choose from to enjoy with your beer. Service could have been better, the girls at the bar took a long time to take our order or to simply check to see if we were ok. Big selection of beers on tap. Check the board for the current offerings. Beers were very good. Room next to the dining area offers cases and packs to go. Upstairs, take a self guided tour of the brewery. parking is plentiful in lot out front.
