Shandies offers a menu that is familiar yet creative in its international culinary influences. Relax...Savor...Enjoy!
happened upon a lively shandies on a tuesday night passing thru town when we came to see the waterfront and famous main street. decided not to go any further as it was in the very cool part of town with easy parking. food was superb but it was not hot hot from soup to steak sanswiches. great prices imo and fine service. outside dining welcomes dogs which is a major plus. lovely stained glass and plenty cool inside. great bar. i would go back in a skinny minute for the steak sandwich which i ate without the bread, hearty portions, great onion soup. historic atmosphere. it should be a five rating.

Stopped in for dinner and sat outside in their courtyard area. Food was very good, but the rest was disappointing and frustrating. Waitress made excuses for the bar's concerns. When we asked to speak with manager at the end of the meal when we got an incorrect bill we got the bartender who had more excuses and then blamed the waitress for the problems and accused her of lying. The bartender-manager would not resolve our concern. Needless to say, I would not return.

Paducah was our have way point so we stayed here coming & going on our trip. First time we had the prime rib & the french dip. Second time the Frisco & the Caesar with salmon salad. In all cases food was very good & portions large. We had the basket of Croissants - outstanding. Used the 10% off "coupon" from Auburn Place hotel (great place to stay. Personnel & service top notch. Wife said she wanted to eat here again on the way back - & that is almost unheard of.

We tend to eat a late lunch / early supper and I was thrilled to see Doe's sign that they served lunch until 5 PM. We entered, were seated, and subsequently served by "K." His service was outstanding, his demeanor friendly, and he memorized our orders flawlessly. Our food was served hot and it was very flavorful. While "K" kept more than an adequate check on our table, he did the same for several other tables, pausing to visit with all rather than seeming in a rush.

Located downtown in the historic Greyhound Bus Station, Paducah Beer Werks opened its doors in March 2015. PBW boasts four regular brews-including the 2015 GABF Bronze Medal winning Pale Ale and 2015 Alltech Commonwealth Cup Silver Medal winning Irish Red
This is a nice place to stop for a local beer and some good food. They have quite a few local beers and the food is very good. Bartender, Francis, is a very nice guy and good bartender. Glad we don't live around here or we'd be there many times a week. Close to the Quilt Museum so very convenient when visiting there.

We stop in Paducah several times a year. We decided to try Stricklands based upon reviews and were not disappointed. The restaurant is small, maybe a converted C store. Neighborhood and building not so much but excellent dinner and obviously local favorite. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was mostly fried but very good. They have small plate early bird platters before 4 or 5 pm. Best check. I had the Harris platter: fried shrimp, coconut shrimp, clams strips, catfish, and hush puppies. All very good. My wife had fried Cod. Also lightly breaded and very good. They have full bar and brag about Margaritas. Back to Floridaâs Gulf Coast.

We were only in Paducah for the one evening and wanted to try something different so flamingo row looked like a good choice. Service was a bit slow but the food was excellent and the prices were reasonable.

Read reviews and decided to try lunch. Service was very attentive and polite. We were prepared for a long wait for food prep but on a Friday it was quick. I had nacho n cheese with cajun spices and chicken which was great. I thought it might be "heavierc but it was a good balance of cheese and pasta. Others dined on an omlette and a BLT made with fried green tomatoes. Didn't care for the heavy breading and heavily fried tomato but that's a personal taste. Busy and popular, it was a good choice. Not a WW friendly place though!

Freight House Is Paducah's First And Only Farm To Table Restaurant, Serving Up Traditional Southern Flavors, Paired With Locally Sourced Meats And Garden Fresh Fare. We Invite You To Stop By And Enjoy Food The Way It Was Intended To Be Served...in Season.
While visiting some family in Paducah, we decided to eat at the Freight House. We were seated fast upon arrival. This restaurant is in an old brick warehouse, exposed wood beams with industrial looking tables and chairs. We ordered deviled eggs and Ellenâs pepperoni dip for an appetizer, both were delicious. They have a huge selection of alcoholic beverages, wine, beer and mixed drinks. I ordered shrimp and grits, my wife ordered the braised pork shoulder and my daughter ordered l.b.l. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We couldnât decide on a dessert so we ordered all three, all of them were very good. A must try mixed drink is the party mom punch. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about items on the menu. If you are in town, give the Freight House a try, you will be glad you did.
