It might not impress as you walk in...small bar with limited seating...but once you get to the menu and staff serving, it turns into a gem stop. Ordered a 7 inch pizza with pepperoni, bacon and sausage, olives, onions and mushrooms. Hubby ordered a chili burger. It took a little while because everything is made fresh but the TV’s keep you occupied. The pizza was terrific! I would love to try some other toppings. Worth a try!!

Chowder Bowl

We went for dinner. Ordered food, burger, fried prawns and crab melt. We also had clam chowder. The chowder was good but was just missing something. The cup is pretty small for the price. Timing was off in the kitchen as we just got our chowder and our food was served. The crab melt was ok, lots of crab but very little cheese. It needed more cheese for it to be a melt. The fried prawns were great and the hamburger was cooked correctly. All came with fries that were good, light batter on them. The service is on/off. They were getting busy but didn't check on food. Had to wait a long time to get refills on drinks. Our server was very nice though.

Szabo's used to be a favorite until today. The French Dip sandwich used to come on a hoagy roll..now a stadium hot dog bun. The Fish Sandwich was a colorless slab of something. We ate there every time we came to the coast but this was the last time. Service was good, but it takes more. Would rather pay a higher price that pay for the food we received

A beautiful Autumn day in Depoe Bay called for fish and chips, a scenic waterfront view with a local draft beer to take it all in. My cod and chips dish was great. The batter was light and the fish fresh tasting. I couldn’t resist the cup of tomato soup after our waitress explained the style. My spouse chose the fried oyster sandwich which he said was delicious. My choice of beer ended up being the Scottish Ale which was excellent and my spouse selected the Moby Red Ale and was delighted. We sat upstairs with delightful views of the inner harbor. There are great views of the ocean also if you so choose. Our waitress, Tiffany, was a joy and gave us excellent service. We would love to have room for dessert one day as the menu was extremely tempting

We stopped here to get oysters on the half shell. Unfortunately, they were out of oysters...... So disappointing! We decided to order their fried Calamari appetizer and it was outstanding! Nice thick strips of calamari (steaks sliced maybe?). We also had their clam chowder and it was good, but I wouldn’t say the best I’ve had. The service was attentive and very friendly.

Had my birthday dinner at Tidal Raves. I had heard a lot about this place. It was ok...The server seemed a little snarty...she didn't seem to care what we ordered...The food arrived without delay. I had ordered a filet medium rare...it came well done. By the time she checked back I had already eaten most of it...it was ok, I still ate it...it just wasn't the way I ordered it. Why didn't I send it back, you ask...because I was hungry and ready to eat...I didn't feel like waiting. I'd probably go back again and give it another chance.

While staying at the Inn at Otter Crest, we had a sumptuous breakfast here, while watching whales spouting just offshore. The menu was varied and interesting, with fresh fruit, interesting omelets, etc. My husband had the Green Chili and Bacon omelet and I had the lox and bagel which came with tomatoes, red onion, capers, lemon, cream cheese. It was a feast, fresh and delicious! The waitress was cheerful and prompt.

Beck is consistently listed as #1 restaurant in the area. I’d have to say this rating is well deserved. Truly fine dining, great service, lovely views of Whale Cove. Creative contemporary dishes are presented in reasonable portions. While this may be the most expensive restaurant in this area, prices are definitely not out of line.

Had lunch at the funky little place with an incredible view up and down the coastline. We both had their shrimp salad sandwich on garlic Parmesan toasted bun. The bun was very soft and broke a part easily. There was plenty of shrimp but it was a bit bland. The shredded cabbage salad with shrimp on top was very good. The server was friendly and efficient. Too bad they don’t make their original Punchbowl pie, a layer of chocolate cream with a top layer of peanut Butter cream topped with whipped cream. But that was years ago.

On a recent trip, The Clearwater was recommended to us. Great choice! I had the best meal of my trip- a Coconut Curry Stew, with a side of sticky rice. Highly recommended. The kitchen forgot the green beans in the stew, but our friendly server happily brought some. We ate outdoors, which the cacophony of the male sea lions was highly entertaining. There is a generous wine list as well, even by the glass.
