I've eaten at this restaurant numerous times in the past while traveling from the Holy City to the Midlands. It seems after each visit I become a little more disappointed than previous. My visit last month was the final straw. I said the next visit will decide if I ever come back. Today was my most recent visit. I can say......I won't be back. The food on the bar today was 90% the same last month. The friend chicken was tuff and dry. The quail was salty; Salisbury steak was soaked in grease; field peas and green beans were from a can; the brown and white rice was mushy. I didn't try it, but the mac and cheese looked good. The salad was blah, and so was the banana pudding- nothing spectacular. The service was good though. Today I'd rather have quality over quantity. Sorry, I won't be back.

This is still my favorite barbeque. This restaurant has plenty of parking as well as a drive thru window. The people who work there are all very friendly. The burger has only barbeque hash, meat, rice, cole slaw, pickles and bread. Others has additional selections but this one is all barbeque. It is delicious. There are plenty of community style tables. You can do the all you can eat buffet or get a plate to go. I really enjoyed my lunch.

After a poor experience in which we gave up on the idea of breakfast at the hotel, we crossed the parking lot to the Waffle House. Our entire experience here was stellar. The food was amazing, the service was great and the atmosphere was what you would expect at this type of establishment.

We came to eat as a family one evening. While the owner at the cash register was very friendly and the food was decent, the overall atmosphere of the place left much to be desired. The only drink offerings were water, sweet tea and unsweet tea (we're used to at least having another choice for kids like lemonade). Also, dessert was NOT included on the buffet (unlike some of our other favorite BBQ buffets-- Countryside in Swansea, Hudson's in Lexington, Shealy's in Batesburg). $11/adults and $6 for kids (ours were ages 5-9). I'd say save your money and drive to one of the other places I mentioned. Also, the bathroom wasn't as clean as it should be.

Stopped in here on a Sunday around 5:00 for dinner because there arenât many places to get a sit down dinner in the area of our hotel. It wasnât real busy and we were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and took our drink order. It has been a long time since I was at a Ruby Tuesday. We both got chicken dishes along with salad bar. The salad bar was okay and the chicken dishes we got werenât anything special. It probably will be a long time before I visit a Ruby Tuesday again.

Lowcountry cuisine is the cooking traditionally associated with the South Carolina Lowcountry and the Georgia coastI have eaten ribs all over the South. The ribs at The Brown Derby, with the Carolina style sauce are among the best, if not, the best. They were 'fall off the bone' tender and the Carolina style sauce was delicious. The menu offers something for everyone, all homemade, all delicious and all more than reasonably priced. The source for this great food may be attributed, although I am not sure, to the picture hanging on the wall of the mother or grandmother. The macaroni I had was a special treat unlike any macaroni I have ever had.The people who served was could not have been friendlier and helpful...real nice people. The appearance of the building is a little tired but the don't let this deter you from going in and experience some authentic and wonderful Lowcountry Southern food.

We enjoyed a recent visit to this Cracker Barrel in Orangeburg SC. The restaurant is located right off the exit from the Interstate. You have drive a little down the road for entrance to the restaurant. Our server Cece greeted us immediately after being sat. The restaurant was unusually slow for the prime breakfast time making me wonder if the location is hurting their business level. We ordered breakfast and it was served quickly after being ordered. Food was served proper temperature. The gravy for the biscuits while good was a little gloopy and thick and not really hot. I didn't enjoy the hash brown casserole as it was very soggy. The biscuits were very flaky, fresh and very good. All in all a good breakfast. The cashier was friendly as we paid our bill, she did well to recommend gum, drinks or snacks for the rest of our road trip.A good breakfast and good biscuits!

Pleasant atmosphere and wait staff. The salad was good. My friend said the soup was good too. They say they are known for their chicken fingers - soaked in buttermilk overnight and then fried. We ordered that based on the reputation. They were ok, but nothing super special. This might be a decent choice for a once in a while treat of fried food. If you are healtch conscious and looking for non-breaded and non-fried food you should probably look elsewhere.

Two of my son's and I recently took a trip to Florida and stayed the night in Orangeburg, SC. Southern Barbeque was to be on the menu for supper so we went to Duke's and wow it was incredible! We walked in to find just tables and chairs with a pitcher of sweet tea on each one of them. After surveying the scene we figured out you go up the the register and pay and then grab a plate and dive in. Now being from the north I didn't even know what a few of the things were. When I ask the folks that I think owned it I couldn't understand them because their accent was so thick. I had hash for the first time on rice it was very good, I also had something else and never could understand what the gentleman told me even after he repeated it twice I just smiled and took some, it tasted fine whatever it was. They also had pulled pork with a Carolina sauce it was delicious, chickens wings , and fried chicken. The sides I had was macaroni and cheese to die for, the baked beans were awesome, and the hush puppies were the best I have ever had! All in all I would highly recommend it if you ever get toOrangeburg. The folks working there were so friendly and helpful when I could understand them ha ha.

Family owned and operated business serving Orangeburg for over 25 years. Steaks, Seafood, Prime Rib, Sandwiched, Salads and more! Best Chicken Salad around!
We drove by here for dinner based on the reviews, and gave it a try based on the sheer volume of cars in the parking lot. Figured the locals know where to eat, and boy were they right! We were lucky enough to be served by Brianna, who is the epitome of southern charm, making our meal all that more memorable. She recommended the homemade broccoli quiche (on the menu every day) which turned out to be an excellent choice. The portions were generous enough to require take home containers.Thank you for the kind words. We have passed them on to Brianna and she was happy to hear the sweet things you said about her! (we think she is pretty special too!). We hope you join us again
