I am a vegetarian and try to eat vegan when I can. I was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant in Oakhurst. We visited this restaurant twice in 2 days it was so good. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful while ordering. They had vegan bacon that was to die for and tacos that were delicious! I'd recommend this to anyone!Over the two days we went we had: biscuits and gravy, Tempehsada tacos, Beyond meat burger and pancakes.

Had an unexpected, (for the restaurant), dinner here with our group of 16 people.Food was very good but, prices are rather on the high side so pimp your plates please. There is a severe shortage of garnish on the plate. We had the Halibut and the sirloin steak, both were superb but they also looked lonely on the plate.Good wine selection, at still affordable price.Service was good.Make a 3* rating a 5* by adding more garnish.

The Branding Iron has had an uphill battle to overcome, many locals thought food was of poor quality--Well not any more. Our food was cooked to our likking, service friendly and helpful. Really good value with the early bird menu. This is worth a retry!!

We stopped here on the recommendation of recent reviews, Most of the sour-grapes reviews are from 5-6 years ago. My wife and I had a terrific breakfast. Her corned beef exceeded all her standards and my pancakes were delicious. Service was great. I'd return here any time I'm in Oakhurst.

We stopped by Oakhurst for lunch before checking into the Tenaya Lodge. We were pleasantly surprised to find a Subway here - and from the looks of it, there was a nice steady flow of people. I guess I was surprised because there weren't too many cars there, and Oakhurst is not a big town. But, everything one expects from Subway was there, and we were happy.

Hubby had shrimp scampi. He said it was wonderful. His wedge salad was a little different in that it was romaine lettuce, not iceberg. Bue he said it was good. I ordered the Beef Short Rib Pasta.... Mixed feelings. I would have been soooo happy if the tender, tender short ribs had been in a tomato based sauce. This was in a sauce that reminded me of hubby's scampi.....it was angel hair pasta with a "mushroom' based sauce. I think they take the same sauce and adapt it. This would have been dreamy in a great tomato sauce, rich with mushrooms, and maybe a heavier pasta. What I got was ok. I ate until I was full but wouldn't order it again. Great restaurant. Good food. Maybe made the wrong choice.

We waited for a long time to get two bowls of oatmeal. The waiter said something about it taking a long time in the morning to boil the water. Odd! The oatmeal was good once it arrived.

Brew Pub offering house made craft beers and upscale casual dining, thoughtfully sourced food made in a scratch kitchen
We ate dinner here one day and it was so amazing we came back for lunch the next day! The fried artichokes starter was incredibly tasty and fried to perfection. Their pizza had a very light and thin dough, the sauce was well seasoned, and the toppings were super fresh. The next day, we both had grass fed beef burgers on brioche buns. Truly this was the best burger Iâve ever tasted. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his beers and the second one he had was an award winner. Their wait staff was very attentive and the decor is beautiful. If you are anywhere near Oakhurst be sure to visit South Gate Brewing Company!

Visited during a recent trip to Yosemite, and I was very impressed. The special was recommended by the staff - a large baked sweet potato filled with cheese, green onions and a choice of meat (I chose the pulled pork). Sometimes sweet potato can be a little overwhelming, but I have to say this was the best meal I've had at a BBQ place! Would definitely recommend to others, and I'll be back if I'm in the area again.
