The reigning King of restaurants in Vermont. We tormented our arteries and had colossal shrimp cocktail, lobster cakes, three cheese French onion soup, medium prime rib, lobster macaroni and cheese, double espresso, and Saratoga Springs sparkling water. We shall return.Youâre the best! Glad you were happy.

Beautiful setting in the town's old fire house it also includes a museum
Nice repurpose of an old firehouse. One large room serves as dining room, and it is fairly loud. Obviously a popular place as we had a 30-45 minute wait. Decorated for Halloween. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. Nothing special for beer or wine, a small list for both. Wide menu choices. Food was average. ho hum Caesar salad dressing. Red sauce on a spinach calzone just ok.

We wanted to try Cornerstone again for my birthday, so we went early since there were 4 adults & 1 teenager and we arenât into crowds. The appetizers were delicious ( fried pickles, and mussels-small) and the beet salad was out of this world-delicious!Dinner included the steak special=good; Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl was delicious; swordfish tacos were delicious, salmon was good (a little dry) nicely cooked slivered carrots and Reuban was good but hardly any sauerkraut!Desserts sharedâ-3 tiered mousse & lava cake were very good. Server was extremely friendly & quick.

Stopped in for a milkshake on drive down I-89. Was impressed with the layout, cleanliness and general appeal of the place. Nice bar front and center and behind it, Valerie M. Asked for a milkshake and one of the choices was Oreo. Valerie made it in short order and served it up with a smile. Wow, was it good. Would love to go back sometime for drinks and food.

Pizza and salad offerings that are creative and tasty. The salad dressing is light and delicious. I'm not a pizza fan, but the flatbread was really good. I understand that a lot of the ingredients are locally sourced.

We ordered salads and dessert to-go and eat later at our Bed and Breakfast. They were freshly made right then and the ingredients were really great. The staff was quite friendly. When we asked about the areas covered bridges the young man st the register gave us great directions. He was enthusiastic with his response which I really enjoyed. He seemed proud of the bridges in the area.

If you've traveled around the United States, you've been to a dozen places similar to Cornerstone: a darkish, noisy bar with tall tables and pub grub, notably burgers and craft beer. As other reviewers have noted, there aren't a whole lot of dining options in Northfield, Vermont, and everybody comes to this place. There's plenty of parking on the street but there was a line to dine when we visited on a Thursday night. We were ravenous so ordered apps straight off: a traditional mac n cheese and thai-style pot stickers for the table. Both were terrific, especially the mac n cheese, which also comes in a spicy and a maple-y version. The burgers are gargantuan, especially the meat-on-meat bbq burger. It's not the setting for a quiet conversation, so prepare for a high noise level. Service given the circumstances was friendly, brisk and efficient.

We were in town for a private funeral held at Norwich cemetery. We had some time to spare prior to so we stopped by OâMaddiâs for a beverage. The lady that welcomed us was amazing; she treated us like we were frequent customers. Later we found out she was the owner. We were so impressed! She was extremely sympathetic to all folks in our family! Personal customer service like this is highly valued nowadays; we so appreciate her business and will def. be back since my husband is a Norwich alumnus as well.
