Starting with a snowball stand in 1932 until today, Richard & Lori Hurst are carrying on the family tradition. From St. John Street to on the River, to nestled in the woods, now with two full service restaurants, Poor Boy's Riverside Inn's and Little Rive
Four of us arrived ~ 6:45 on a MON evening. Had the "large" alligator bites - half grilled, half fired. Like they say: tasted like chicken (for $10.95). Had drinks. Two of us had the seafood gumbo with rice - excellent. One had the broiled seafood platter, remaining person had the crab dinner, Food quality/taste was excellent. We waited a long time for the food - restaurant not even half full. Server apologized to us a few times for the delay. She comped us some sweet potato beignets (French) - outstanding.

As always Ruby Tuesdayâs super salad bar does not disappoint. The staff at this location were friendly and attentive. The entree I had: Chicken Pimento Cheese was a bit over cooked. My wifeâs bacon burger was spot on. The sides were average institutional food and nothing special. If your hungry and want consistency in what to expect then Ruby Tuesdayâs wonât disappoint.

We arrived late after a solid drive from New Orleans. Tired and hungry we walked into a family restaurant full of live music and friendly staff. It was crawfish season so we each had the boil with potatoes and sausage. Yum! We did not have the buffet but it looked like a local favorite. Highly recommend.

We were visiting family and friends in the area and going to a festival in Lafayette. While in Lafayette we decided to meet friends at the Boiling Point. We've been visiting the Boiling Point for decades. We lived in New Iberia in the early 1980's and visit frequently. Between the four of us, we had boiled crabs, boiled shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage, and fried shrimp. All of it was out of this world. They really hit it out of the park. Service is very good, atmosphere is pure Cajun. We'll be back again and again!! Highly recommended.Thank you so much for this great review and the five stars. Iâm very please that yâall enjoy everything and that my staff took great care of yâall. I will post this up for my staff. Thanks again Roxie

We stopped here after a visit to Tabasco. The prices are dirt cheap for the portions and quality of food.Chocolate shake is 2.99 and probably a litre in size! Onions rings are homemade and easily shared by 3 people.Chicken is a 20min wait as it's made fresh, but so worth it!Fries were meh at best.Service was extremely efficient and etra.It can be a busy spot.

I travel for work and I do enjoy a variety of foods and have been called a critic more than once. I had a chance to eat there today 5/4, and was very surprised to taste what many of us would call home cook food. The sausage, egg and cheese omelet was loaded and cooked perfectly. The French toast was a little soft but the taste was within my top 3.

With the noonday temperature reaching the mid 90's I chose the beautiful oak shaded shore of Jefferson Island to enjoy my Sunday lunch.I started to cool down with a mimosa followed with a cup of seafood bisque for an appetizer. The bisque was thick and creamy and chuck full of lump crabmeat and shrimp. A bowl of this stuff could prove to be rich and deadly! My main course consisted of a 1/2 chef salad (their salads are huge!). Loaded with pieces of ham, swiss and American cheese, black olives, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, sliced boiled egg, and a huge salad pepper this proved to be a great summer lunch! I chose a light raspberry vinegarett dressing which really complimented all the flavors of the salad.Surrounded on all sides by the beauty of Rip Van Rinckle Gardens while I ate made for a great experience!

Tiny hole in the wall type of place with a country vibe. The staff is very accommodating, the service is fast and the seafood is out of this world! If you get a large PoBoy plan on eating it for at least two days, they are HUGE! The only downside to this place is forcing myself to go someplace else to eat. I am there at least once a week but could easily eat there everyday if I didn't stop myself. You will not be disappointed and you won't forget the food.

Jane's never disappoints. You may have to wait a bit for a table but it is worth the wait. All the seafood is fresh and delicious. They have really great boiled crawfish in season. The fried rice is delicious. You really cannot go wrong no matter what you choose.
