Cindy and her family run a top notch family business. The food and the service are always great. The taste and quality of the barbecue, chicken and hotdogs can't be beat. Good attitude serving great food! They also do a great catering business!

My wife and I like to come here whenever we're jonesing for some good ol' fried food. Call me crazy but I'm not a huge fan of catfish. I always get the fried chicken tender plate and she usually gets a poboy, the catfish plate, or shrimp plate. Today she got the shrimp. As others have mentioned, yes Swamp John's can be busy at times and yes they could use some added staff. Today, however, when the line was getting longer, a 2nd person jumped on a register so the wait really wasn't a problem at all. The service is always great and the food is always better. I definitely recommend Swamp John's to anyone wanting fried fish or chicken. Oh and the hushpuppies are awesome!Thank you! We are so happy to know that you enjoyed your visit. We hope that you will stop by again.

Life is SWEET at Sweet Peppers Deli! Enjoy delicious sandwiches, soups, salads, flatbreads, paninis, potatoes and desserts! Catering and boxed lunches available. Order online and download our Sweet Peppers Deli app!
This seems to be a regional chain (we don't have it in Memphis) and serves a nice variety of sandwiches/panini's, salads, soups, and even potatoes. They seem to have a rotating menu of soups depending on the day of the week... they have a Pick Two which gives you the option of trying different menu items in one combo. If you have ever been to Memphis and eaten at a chain called McAlister's then you will be very familiar with the menu and food type options. Our meals both included a 1/2 sandwich along with soup. The Crawfish bisque was something I could have eaten bowls and bowls of. It might seem like a small thing but the pickle spears served with the sandwiches were cold and very crisp... very nice! Oh... even though we did not have any the "sweets" as they called them all have a very tempting description and appeal.

If you want to eat here check their hours. They are only for a few hours over lunch and only a few days a week. The restaurant has a nice setting by a park and the service was good. The menu is limited and specials change every day.My wife had the pear, walnut, chicken salad. It was very good though the chicken lacked flavor and a bit "soggy". Other wise a very good salad with lot pecans (out of walnuts today) and blu cheese.I had the chicken fried steak special and though nothing special it was good. The best part was the home fry casserole...excellent.Bring cash as they do not accept checks or credit/debit cardsWe would come back again re

Hmmmm, no need to go to Decatur and "Big Bob's BBQ". Ricks not only has bigger potatoes, but more pulled pork, a better hot sauce and a much better wait staff. Go figure!!

We were visiting family in the area and they suggested Stanfield's for lunch. And, they recommended the Fried Catfish Dinner. The five of us all ordered that meal. What's unique about their catfish is the size of the filets. You get three and they're huge. Great sides make this an excellent meal. We had a dinner and a half leftover to take home. The restaurant is in an old grocery store and the signage from the grocery is used in its decorations. Local restaurant with a great local feel to it. A little out of the way but certainly worth it.

Maybe you have to be a local to appreciate Garden Café. We stopped for lunch based on the wonderful reviews. The set lunch menu had four entrée choices, which came with three sides and bread. The day we went, the entrées were fried chicken breast, fried chicken livers, hamburger casserole and roast pork (which kind of looked like pulled pork rather than slices of pork). They also had spaghetti on the menu. They had about ten sides from which to choose, most of which were the kind of food you would get at a church supper or fundraiser: congealed salad (some kind of gelatin dish), creamed corn, green beans, pinto beans, mac and cheese, etc. We had the creamed corn, mashed potatoes and gravy and fried okra and corn bread. Everything came out really fast, which tells me it's sitting in the back waiting to be dished up. I would think a southern restaurant would make corn bread like nobodyâs business, but this was flat, overbaked and dry. The okra really tasted like it was formerly frozen. The creamed corn could have been from a can. You get the idea. It was cheap and Iâll give Garden Café that. But I donât think youâre going to get good, Southern cooking here. I thought about trying the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, after some thought, I suspected the frosting would be Betty Crockerâs from a can. Service was perfunctory.

I stopped off at the Fredâs Dollar Store going out of business sale to browse for bargains. It was immediately obvious that they had not reached a serious âgoing out of businessâ status because everything was only five percent off. Another customer and I started an interesting conversation so he invited me to have lunch across the street at 306 Barbecue. The brisket sandwich with cold slaw and banana pudding was delicious and just the right amount of food! Our service was excellent and very attentive. We're so glad you enjoyed 306 BBQ! We hope you'll come back and dine with us again soon!
Located in the basement of the Stricklin Building, The Boiler Room offers patrons of all ages an upscale gaming space to gather. There is plenty of entertainment for both the young and the young at heart such as Bowling, Vintage Arcade Tables, Foosball, S
The Boiler Room sits in the basement of the Sticklin hotel. It's a really fun spot. There's a great bar, a performance stage, several dining tables, four bowling alleys and a small arcade-like area with ski-ball, a personal favorite. We had a great evening drinking local beer and listening to a local band and then bowling. The servers were great, but the food did not arrive hot. It comes from the upstairs kitchens of Big Bad Breakfast and maybe sits up there a bit too long. We did a get hot replacement. The bowling seemed a bit pricey at $30 an hour plus $3 for each shoe rental, but we had a really fun night.Thank you so much for your review! We love hearing about our guest's visits and will use your feedback to improve the experience we provide.
