Eat. Drink. Be Happy. What does it take to be a regular at Bar Louie Mount Prospect? An enjoyment of the craft and the desire to experience something out of the ordinary. From our Chicago roots, we've always known that having a comfortable place to hang o
This restaurant is attached to the Holiday Inn where we're staying so it was an easy choice for a light dinner. When we arrived, a little after 4, it was pretty empty and we grabbed a couple of chairs at the bar.Our server/bartender, Daneille, quickly reviewed the happy hour selections with us and took our order of boneless chicken wings, a chicken quesidilla and a couple of drinks.Soon we received our order and were pleasantly surprised by the portion size and the tastiness of the food. Our buffalo wings were just like we like them and came with delicious blue cheese dressing and veggies. The quesadilla was full of chicken and cheese and cooked to perfection. Total yum!By the time we left the place was almost full with a good mix of locals and people from the holiday. This is a fun restaurant with great food, great prices and a good vibe. Not to mention the excellent service from Daniellle. We will definitely be back!

We went during Happy Hour; got seated quickly - but when we left; the wine bar outside was packed and the line was nearly out the door to sit.People seem to go there for the wide selection of wine. With Happy Hour, we got the house wine - which was good, but not great - yet better than the house wine at most places. They have a good selection of appetizers; as a big party - we tried several - a nice bruschetta, hummus with carrots and cauliflower inside, carne asada flatbread. There were several other choices such as mexican egg rolls, crispy brussels sprouts, goat cheese flatbread - a decent variety beyond - maybe a dozen choices. The place is big; ceiling is easily 16' up - and can be noisy as it is a wide open atmosphere. For us, service was pleasant, fast, all questions answered - water refilled regularly, drink orders taken quickly - yet realize we "beat the crowd".Dinners ran a huge variety and were above average in size - can get meat, fish, vegetarian, chicken - all generally mixed with vegetables and some sort of sauce. Food was filling and tasty.

My newly graduated from kindergarten granddaughter decided on Katieâs Kitchen for brunch. After the graduation ceremony, seven of us went to Katieâs Kitchen. We arrived just as they were setting up the tables for our group. The server brought our menus. The guest of honor could not make up her mind as to whether to get the alphabet pancake as a âGâ for graduate, or an âSâ for her name. Two of us ordered the Tuesday special which was BBQ pulled pork for $5.00. Though we didnât want the French fries that came with, we took some slices of tomatoes, which worked fine. We also ordered a short stack, eggs Benedict, and several other things. Our server was very nice and efficient. The total price was reasonable. Weâd definitely go back for the pulled pork sandwiches!

We started coming to Mr. Allison's Restaurant after we found out how good the ham was. Their portions are huge and everything, including entrees without ham are really good. Our server, Kim W., was attentive and efficient. We were with my 6 yr. old and 13 yr. old grandkids. My 6 year old granddaughter ordered the Oreo cookie pancakes, which she pronounced as excellent. My grandson ordered biscuits and gravy which was a good-sized portion and was very tasty. We ordered a ham sandwich without any sides, as well as a 1/2 ham sandwich and a cup of chicken rosemary soup. Both were very good. The total price was reasonable.

We visited this restaurant since it was in walking distance of the Hampton Hotel. Choices on menu are eclectic; good food. Server is friendly, knowledgeable about items on the menu. Be ready to be patient and relax as service is slow. I give it a four star because philosophy of restaurant states it uses wholesome and organic products, hand-crafted ingredients and a âfrom scratchâ preparation so I am assuming food ingredients are of the highest quality. Décor is modernistic, colors dark. Noise and sound carries; you might have to talk a little bit louder but this seems normal for this type of restaurant. Cost is reasonable for area. Salad, pizza and french-fries $25 plus tip.

We were seeking somewhere new, despite having our family favorites, and ventured over to the new Randhurst center development. Movie theater, many restaurants including outdoor dining, Costco, Home Depot, TJ Maxx and more. While it was fairly quiet in a Sunday eve, you could tell itâs likely hopping on Friday and Saturday nights! The temperatures were 90+ so we opted to eat inside. They had both a bar side and a restaurant side. Bar side definitely livelier, both had big televisions with baseball on. Our food was fine, nothing over the top special, but very standard bar-type food...nachos, burgers, salads, sandwiches and more. We ate up everything. The fries had a battered coating, the cheese on the nachos was a cheese sauce instead of melted shredded but tasty nonetheless. With all the choices in this area, Iâd definitely return if another place had too long of a wait. Otherwise, Iâd try another of the many options in this new neighborhood hangout.

There are some things that should be on every visitors âbucket listâ when it comes to regional fare. Their deep dish pizza, local brews and family style dishes are what itâs all about when it comes to pizza pie in the Windy City. You gotta try it.

Three of us met for breakfast at Jelly Cafe. There is plenty of parking, as it is in a large strip mall at the northwest corner of Busse Rd. & Golf Rd. We were seated immediately and our server was right there. She proved to be very efficient and personable. I tried something different - oatmeal, and it was very hot and tasty. The price was reasonable.

Egg Harbor Café in Arlington Heights brings you high quality, carefully-sourced breakfast and lunch with fast, friendly service in a modern farmhouse setting, 6:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. daily. Great food, great employees and satisfied customers are the goals that
The Egg Harbor in Arlington Heights expanded several years ago so those of you who found it too cramped or too small should give it another try. Unfortunately, they have also changed their menu and taken off some old favorites. While I know that it's good to keep innovating and some of their new items are quite good, I still miss some of their old signature dishes! Coffee is decent, and their fresh orange and orange-strawberry juice is delicious. I appreciate the fact that they actually prepare the eggs as you like them - as someone who has a visceral reaction (not in a good way) to under-done eggs, this is important!

Fine eating establishments know the essence of the restaurant business. It isn't merely enough to provide good food. The truly memorable dining experience depends upon several other ingredients from the top food selections, to the most dedicated people s
Very disappointed that I have to write this review. Jamesonâs in Mt Prospect has been a favorite of ours for over 20 years. So much so that we used to eat here at least once a week. When the former manager, Peter, was there the service, food and Atmosphere was great. We had been away for awhile but over the past year weâve gone back in the hope it was still as good. We have been sorely disappointed every time. This time was the last. We had reservations and we were seated in the back party room. We were the only ones back there and the room didnât even have the heat turned on. It took at least 15 minutes to see a waitress and we waited just as long to get our cocktails. So long that we were on the verge of walking out. After we ordered, another couple was seated in the room and they had the same experience. Our waitress totally ignored them and they walked out to the dining room to find someone to take their order. The lettuce was n the salad was brown and wilted, I had to cut off about an inch of the baked potato because it appeared rotten and the filet I ordered had a huge piece of grizzle in it. The manager came to the door of the room we were in, and even though both we and the other table waved at him to come over, he simply turned around and walked away. Thatâs what we are doing also. Walking away. Sorry to say it is just not the great place it used to be. Management makes a difference. Our management and waitstaff would like the opportunity to turn your disappointment into a positive experience by providing the best food, service and seating for your best birthday dinner ever! Please contact the restaurant at your earliest convenience to make arrangements, thank you!
