We were there on a miserable rainy fall day - but it was nice and warm inside the restaurant/bar. Nice staff and decent food. There is outside seating with heaters for the cooler weather.

We heard The Barrel was purchased by a friend of a friend & reopened. We always loved their food as it was Homestyle comfort food. And the desserts were amazing. The new management is carrying on the same tradition & using the same great recipes from the original owner. So glad she shared them! The new chef - AMAZING! The special on the day we ate there was Pigs in a Blanket. I ordered the side of mashed potatoes & piggy gravy on the side. Only could eat one, they were that big! Which meant we had a whole other dinner to take home! So glad they still have the famous chocolate bundt cake w/cream cheese frosting. Delish! The inside has been updated, paint, flooring, seating, look great! Prices reasonable, what you would expect for Homestyle food.

A late Sunday afternoon visit and a good one. Wings were crispy on outside and juicy inside with delicious honey garlic sauce!!! Nachos were hot and tasty with crisp tortillas. Good prices!

I used to order lunch from here when I worked in Moscow. I was never disappointed. They use all Boars Head products which are fantastic and their hoagies are big for the price. Definitely worth it ! I miss this place since I moved to Scranton
