Discover Restaurants offering the best American food in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. Morelia (Spanish pronunciation: [moˈɾelja]; from 1545 to 1828 known as Valladolid) is a city and municipality in the north central part of the state of Michoacán in central Mexico. The city is in the Guayangareo Valley and is the capital and largest city of the state. The main pre-Hispanic cultures here were the Purépecha and the Matlatzinca, but no major cities were founded in the valley during this time. The Spanish took control of the area in the 1520s. The Spanish under Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza founded a settlement here in 1541 with the name of Valladolid, which became rival to the nearby city of Pátzcuaro for dominance in Michoacán. In 1580, this rivalry ended in Valladolid’s favor and it became the capital of the colonial province. After the Mexican War of Independence, the city was renamed Morelia in honor of José María Morelos, who hailed from the city. In 1991, the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well-preserved colonial buildings and layout of the historic center.

Texas Ribs

Texas Ribs arrives in Mexico at last! Whether its baby back, spare or gigantic beef, we’re famous for our tender, juicy, almost-falling-of-the-bone barbeque ribs. There’s no other barbeque joint like us in Mexico. Of course we’re not all about ribs; we ha

We are a group of four foodies and excellent cooks in our own right. Only one of us had ever eaten at this restaurant previously. We really wanted to find a place with a great burger or slider. We found this restaurant to be below average at best.Service: our service was okay but it seemed as though our server(s) had had little training or practice.Ambience and Vibe: this part of the experience was pretty good but our table should only have been used as a two or three top as there was insufficient room for drinks and service plates and cutlery.Burgers: Three of us asked for medium doneness on our burgers and one requested medium rare. Upon delivery, three medium burgers were quite rare and even cold and raw in some places. The medium rare burger was almost uncooked. The medium rare burger was returned and came back with very little change if any. Our servers just didn’t seem to care and nobody even asked if everything was okay. This was not the only problem because the meat quality was not good and the burgers were clearly prefabricated in some factory rather that made by hand. And it seemed like the meat must have been cooked right out of the freezer rather than prepared with fresh meat The overall burger experience was poor.We ordered each of the potato sides on the menu. The potatoes in each dish were quite under cooked and pretty much hard to bite into. The sauces were not to our taste but that may have been a cultural difference. All in all we were sad that we had not yet found our “great burger” in Morelia. But tomorrow is another day!Hello Charles.Thank you for you review.I can assure you that our meat is made freshly every day from scratch. We mix it and mold it by hand (we use a mold) and it has never being frozen. I´m so sorry that it gave you the wrong impression.Apologies for the inconvenience regards the doneness of your meatsWe appreciate your business.

This classic of the city of Morelia, took a great step forward, with this terraza concept.Their menu is wider and at the same time familiar. The place is amazingly well located, you have a great view of the city no matter where they sit you.Definitely a good place to enjoy a beer and pick some decent snack. The only things to improve for now are 2 aspects: table waiting times and quantity of bathrooms, lines to wash your hands or take a relief are crazy.
