When it comes to barbecue, I am a hard sell. I went to Old Jimmy Wilson's on a Sunday at noon with my usual healthy dose of barbecue skepticism. But even before ordering, the enticing smell of the smoker mesmerized me into what would be one of the best barbecue experiences of my life.Old Jimmy Wilson's is 5-star Lone Star BBQ!When it comes to barbecue, cooking good brisket is what separates the men from the boys, and Old Jimmy knocked it out of the park. It was tender and succulent with a beautiful charred bark and smoke ring. Their sauce, which they put out in bottles on the tables, is a delicious thin reddish sauce with just the right amount of heat.I also had the smoked turkey and it was tender, juicy and delicious. The coleslaw, smashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and grilled corn on the cob were all excellent as well. Though they did not have it the day I was there, sometimes they even have pecan pie.Whenever you are in Monterrey, Uber on over to Old Jimmy Wilson's. They are only open on Saturdays from 1PM to 5PM and on Sundays from 12PM to 5PM. Get there early before they sell out. Thanks for your review!Next time you visit us, id yourself for a back pit-room walk through. Will be great to see you again and have a cold one!

Small restaurant, but good food, nothing special, but i like it because the food you can find in monterrey its really poor in comparison with other cities in Mexico. The service was good, the prices are high for a simple hamburger, nothing extraordinary but you receive what you pay. If you are really hungry and you don't like normal and expensive food you can go to this place.

Extraordinary service, exceptional staff, great food and ambiance. This is a true gem in Monterrey. We were there at mid-afternoon and were delighted by the royal treatment we had. Nowhere in the US would you get this treat. Highly recommendedThanks forr your comments!

The place is small and hidden in Plaza Tanarah. The burgers are delicious as well as the fries and onion rings. They offer salads and other complements. In general prices are fair for a gourmet burger; the beef patty has lot of flavor and is cooked just right. The service could be improved. And the only drawback for the tables inside the restaurant is that the place is really noisy, other than that is one of the best options for that kind of food in Monterrey.
