Only thing on the menu Sunday through Thursday is Filet Mignon. Only thing on the menu Friday and Saturday is Prime Rib. Unusual business model. Owner says " Do one thing and do it "GREAT". It was great tonight. Place is packed. Great food and great service!

Freshly made Bavarian creme filled donut! Need I say more?! Monte Vista is a bit like a ghost town, which is too bad, but this little gem was bustling!

Sonic is one of our favorite stops while sight-seeing. But on July 2,2013 at 5:16pm, the Sonic in Monte Vista Colorado had a very unfriendly to the point of rude girl working their drive-thru window. She had repeated our order correctly, but when we had gotten our order, the drinks-which she poured-were not right. When we tried to get her attention, she snubbed us. Finally, she opened the window showing her discuss about re-doing the drinks. We don't have a problem with incorrect orders, this can be fixed. It is not necessary to snub customers or to be rude. The paying customers are the reason that you are lucky enough to have a job.

We started with two double rooms between four guys. After five days they said that the rooms were booked, even after I requested them for seven days total. The manager said he would switch us to four singles on the third floor, so I was like yay a room to myself for the rest of my stay and didn't have to pay extra. That's where it went wrong... The rooms are more like closet space with a bathroom. The bathroom sink is in your lap while you have to use the toilet. It was crazy. The pub was nice but non smoking, and they made pretty good pizzas and wings. The other restaurant wasn't so hot. Thanks
