When we were standing at the counter the (very young) counter person was saying how she is "only there for the paycheck." And it shows. We went to the furthest section of the dining area to sit and wait for our pizza. We had planned on dining in. The two open large tables that would have accommodated the pizza and our plates/silverware were filthy. The small tables were too small to fit a pizza plus eating utensils. So we went to sit in the middle section of the restaurant, even though it had been marked as "closed." There was no one cleaning it and no visible reason why it was closed. Three other couples were occupying booths in the "closed" section. Soon, the same hired help that commented on her job went around the closed section telling people they couldn't sit there. She argued with an older woman when the woman told her she could not fit in the other seats and that the seats in the middle section are the only ones comfortable enough for her. When the help got around to us, my husband inquired why the middle section was closed. Answer: because they wanted to be able to close down sooner rather than later! This was at 7:45 pm on a Friday night. The restaurant is open until 10 pm! And it was only at that moment did the help offer to clean the filthy tables in the back part of the place. Shouldn't that already have been done, regardless of and before complaints start occurring? After arguing with my husband for a while, he decided he wanted a refund. She then said "we could stay." My husband's response was "not after all this hassle." We ended up getting our money back and leaving. We went to another restaurant and the service blew away Milano's--it was such a glaring difference. I'm so disappointed because I've always liked Milano's food. However, this is the second time in a row I've received poor service and that's enough for us to stop going and telling all our friends/family to not bother, either. This is not the Milano's I grew up with.

We had a late lunch on Mother's Day, and surprisingly we didn't have to wait too long, even with no reservation. Our server was friendly and efficient, in spite of how busy the restaurant was. My daughter-in-law had the two lobster special which she said was very good. The salads were very fresh and tasty. I had the prime rib, also a special for the day. I specifically asked if they had medium rare available, and was assured they did. I was disappointed because the meat was more medium to medium-well. I would not have ordered prime rib if I had known. In spite of that we had an enjoyable time.

I visited the diner a little over a year ago great.. Very friendly feels like it's run by Mom and Pop. breakfast are outstanding and they tend to overfeed here so when you come make sure you are hungry for breakfast lunch or dinner highly recommend the only issue that I see here is finding a parking spot will have to probably go park in the back but it's worth it

Visiting New Hampshire my friend recommended this restaurant so I decided to check it out. Very friendly folks. I immediately was offered to the fisherman special and I say okay it consists of halibut and shrimp as well as fries what I found interesting is that the breading is just right not so much breadi that you can't taste the fish or the shrimp very well cooked outstanding meal I will come back again

Friendly, quick service, good selection on the menu. Recommend their omelettes (especially with the chorizo sausage) and french toast with strawberries. Decent coffee with free refills. Family-friendly and great for early risers--opens at 5 a.m.! Inexpensive, considering what you get.

The Mile Away is in an old house. The hostess welcomed us warmly. The dining room is well appointed and clean. There is an extensive choice of food. You can order an entree or a four courses meal. The food and the service were perfect. The price was fair. In summary, it is a classy place.

Had an excellent breakfast at the Riverhouse Cafe. Everything there is organic and homemade and the place is very friendly, with counter and table service that is helpful and efficient. The roasted vegetable omelet was very good, with a variety of fresh roasted root vegetables, home fries and rye bread. Fresher brewed iced tea was very good as well.A good place right in the middle of town.

American comfort food served in a comfortable, family atmosphere. Large function space available for events.
Checked it out on a weekend afternoon. Plenty of parking, nice clean facilities, staff was friendly. Lots of local dishes as well as favorites. The Nashua Poutine was great, the entrees were large and very good. Jake's Ice Cream was a perfect way to end the meal. Can't wait to visit again.
