We visited After the Fox for the first time for dinner last night. It is located on the Fox river and we had a table with a nice view of the water. The waitress, Mallory, was a delight! She explained all of the specials (and there were tons). We were there for a light meal, so settled for a burger and grilled cheese. The fried cheese curds as the appetizer special were excellent. Mallory suggested to come back for the Friday fish fry, as there are many options. We plan to go back! Thanks, Mallory!

Our monthly group chose this place once again. We were blessed that the rain stopped before we arrived so that we could sit outside. Great views from their brand new deck area.We ordered a couple of samplers platters. All were good, including the mini-tacos. A definite must have for our next visit. I ordered the Breaded Pork and Tater Tots. Our server didn't know us before we walked in. She knew us all by name before the afternoon was over. All drinks served to who they were supposed to go to. Great job done for a large group.

Although the bar/restaurant looks just like it did back in the day...somehow it's been updated...thinking it's the paint! Looks really sharp!Went for dinner on a Friday night and they were pretty busy...would have been 10 minutes for a table, but once we got sat at the bar, we were very comfortable! Super nice bartender! We had the bruschetta appetizer which was very good, but different from the expected...this is served on soft Italian bread rather than a crustini. We also had an Italian Beef and a pizza. Everything was delicious! We'll be back!

Located a quarter-mile south of Route 120, at 801 N. River Road, The Snuggery in McHenry is a riverside bar, grill and indoor/outdoor entertainment complex. Just a few blocks from downtown McHenry, guests can drink with panoramic views of the Fox River fr
Tried this place after not being here in a while. Food quality is crap, squeeze cheese on nachos- yuck and CHEAP. Service with no sense of urgency or smile. the waitress made sure to spend time checking her phone while customers we're waiting. Bears vs. Packers and their is 15 open tables, don't they think this is a problem??? Fix you food and service and maybe you can fill the place up. If not, I won't be back or others. Manager hardly seen , what is he doing??????

Wonderful place, great service. Waitress was wonderful and accommodating (we needed 6 separate checks). If you need a delicious alternative to Home Run Inn and Lumanaties (not sure about the spelling) this is the place. We had the Sears Tour (which was delicious) and the house salad with creamy garlic dressing (which was ok, the dressing). And the Red Sangria was refreshing and went well with the pizza and salad. Great place to try if you are in McHenry, Illinois.

This little place is a small cafe with tables and counter service, Very good breakfast and lunch for a good price. Open until 2pm, Monday-Saturday, and until 1pm on Sunday. Breakfast and lunch items on the menu and daily specials on the huge dry-marker boards on the wall. Their food is very good and the service is friendly and efficient. My husband and I like this restaurant because their meal portions don't cost twice as much for portions that ALWAYS cause us to ask for take-out boxes for left overs. We get to pop-in, eat, and go, if need be. Hubby loves The Mix for breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 sausage or bacon, and 1 pancake, or the Biscuits and Gravy. For lunch, the hot veal cutlet open face sandwich is great comfort food.

The is a pretty unique place. Very busy with it's decorations... almost to the point that it's overwhelming! Makes it feel really crowded. The food is pretty darn good. The prices are also pretty high though. It's a fun experience and I recommend it... when you can actually get in without waiting for 30 minutes!

We love Kim & Patty's! The service is always welcoming and attentive. The breakfast menu is full of many options, and they have weekly specials as well. The food is prepared precisely as ordered. We both had the poppyseed French toast breakfast today-outstanding. We really enjoy this place and will return again and again.

We always rave over the brunches we enjoyed here. From our berry kiwi lemon poppyseed crepes to our Belgian waffles, oatmeal and savory sweet potatoes and egg skilletâthis menu is jam packed with delectable choices. Excellent service and coffee keeps the Brunch Cafe hopping from 6:30am right through to closing at 2:30pm.

We are a family-owned restaurant in the heart of Crystal Lake, Illinois. We believe fine dining is more than the very best in food, service and atmosphere. It is creating a space where you feel at home, in a way, but are still surprised. Itâs a conversati
noisy. The new owner spent some time and money remodeling this establishment and it shows. However, the downside is a very noisy venue despite their attempts at sound deadening panels in the ceiling. Perhaps some soft materials on the walls and carpeting would help. The level is such that some patrons, it seems, talk louder so their companions can hear them and the level spins out of control. Our server was attentive although the place was busy.Foodwise, the fare is varied, well-prepared and not your everyday menu.I thoroughly enjoyed my butt steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My wife's pork tenderloin with sweet potatoes and vegetables was also very good. The salad served with our meal was good sized, fresh and we especially liked the fact that they toss each salad with the chosen dressing rather than just ladling on a portion of dressing. Nice even coverage of dressing (which were delicious).Only the noise level kept us from giving this restaurant a "5".Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. Noise can be a challenge when you have a full dining room, but certainly a problem we feel fortunate to have! We will definitely take your feedback into consideration and look forward to having you again soon!
