This Bar/Cafe used to be an old dance hall back in the day. They occasionally host events in their Great Room. I was there for 4th of July one time and the twerking contest was hilarious! The food has always been very good. My favorite is the pizza! It is
This is a very friendly and fun place to grab a drink or some grub. They often have meat raffles for a little extra entertainment. Appropriate for families, singles, friends. They have some arcade games and a small game room downstairs.

Good place to eat. Right next to the country meadows inn. Little spendy for a small town restaurant but the food is very good.

We weren't staying at the resort but saw they had good reviews and stopped for lunch on the way to Savanah Portage. I had the Cuban sandwich and it was one of the best I've had; they also have Castle Danger beer so it was a match made in heaven. The service was very good and the view from the deck is relaxing.

We drive through McGregor at least once a year on the way to our vacation spot, and right past this diamond. After seeing it on a website a few months back we decided it looked like the kind of small town out-of-the-way place we love to try out in our travels. We were not disappointed! Yes, it is small with 8 or 9 tables, and stayed busy but not cramped with the steady come and go of customers. The rustic decor and memorabilia brings you back to days of yesteryear and time flies as your eyes explore all the treasures. Hubby ordered the 2 Biscuit and Gravy with 2 egg choice. Biscuits and eggs were humongous! He said it was the best sausage gravy he had eaten in years. I ordered the Chicken Salad with Lettuce Croissant with chips...again, it was huge and delicious! Meals are served on assorted old-time cafe and Fiesta dishes, and mounded high. A boy at the next table ordered one pancake...and his eyes nearly popped out when he saw the pancake which was the size of the dinner plate! The friendly waitress was kept hopping and did quite well keeping up with orders. We can see this becoming a traditional stop. Prices are reasonable considering the down-home food is good and plentiful!

We were introduced to this place while staying at Big Sandy over the holidays. Best food (all of it), best bakery (everything!) best coffee (twin cities roaster) and best staff (friendly and fun), Just a delight to make this a routine stop when we pass through McGregor. Eat and overdose on buying baked goods for the home front.
