We had a nice breakfast here. Got the special which consisted of a cheese omelet, bacon and toast as well as coffee. Everything was good and hot and our waitress was nice. The bacon was really good. Omelet was okay....I ate the whole thing....not quite the kind of omelet I was envisioning however it was good. Glad we went there.

We had the buffet breakfast and it was terrible. The meats--bacon, sausage, thinly slide ham--were ALL grossly over cooked. There was very limited selection of food including a large pot of oatmeal that had sat on the warmer for who knows how long. VERY disappointing. Was not willing to try any other meals at this place.Iâm so sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. That was truly not our intention. We really appreciate your feedback, and hope that you give us the chance to make it right! Thanks again for the feedback and we hope to see you back soon!

Great buffet if you are carnivore or vegetarian, but very limited choices for a Vegan. Food was satisfactory for the limited choices available. Ate here as a part of a time share presentation, so I wouldn't make this a normal choice as a Vegan!

Heard good things about the pizzas, and was affordable considering its is located in a resort.Ordered the family meal of 2 half chickens, 3 sides and a 2- liter soda for $28. We weren't sure about the size of the hockey so we ordered 2 sets just in case. Great taste! And we had one half and a bit of sides left over- great deal!!!

The burgers are small, but tasty. The buns were toasted. They don't have lettuce or tomato and you have to ask for onion. They specialize in specialty burgers with interesting things on them I've never seen anywhere else like Mac and Cheese or peanut butter. The fries are crinkle cut and nicely crunchy. The seating is outdoor and pleasant.

After hearing how good they were, we decided to check them out with a to-go order. Since my husband is very picky when it comes to bbq, we ordered just ribs without any side dishes to take home. Our order was ready when we arrived, staff was very friendly and we were in and out quickly. I found them to be very tasty, and they gave us extra bbq sauce without even asking. It was a North Carolina sauce which is a vinegar base. The regular ribs are a dry rub and it taste just right even without the sauce. Since they are located about 30 mins from our house, I would go again for a sit down meal but probably not for just takeout.

We went for breakfast while driving through. We have stayed in the area many times and love Hanks so we thought we would give the diner a try. Breakfast was delicious diner food. Grits were unique and the food is tasty. However, the service was rude, slow and forgetful. The coffee was never filled when asked twice. The servers seemed too interested in talking amongst each other behind the counter to be able to pay attention to their job duties. Only regular customers were treated with respect and kindness. We will go elsewhere for breakfast the next time we drive through. If the service was more welcoming and attentive they might be as successful as Hanks.

We had a wonderful dinner on the outside patio of Hankâs on a Friday in late August. The ribs were outstanding! The three home made barbecue sauces provided a choice that each of us enjoyed. Our server Anastasia was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, professional and helpful with food recommendations. The bourbon, chocolate, pecan pie with ice cream and blackberry pear crisp with homemade granola on top are worth a visit whether you have dinner or not. The music provided by guitarist/banjo player was the perfect pairing with the food. We would definitely go back when in the neighborhood.

We stopped here to eat in their restaurant but it (the bistro) was closed due to a wedding. Since they advertise the restaurant, we didn't think we needed to call ahead to see if it would be open.Instead we sat outside and enjoyed the view with some wine and a fruit/cheese platter. Then we were told to move because half of the patio was closed for the wedding as well. It would have been nice if signs were up that said "reserved."We found their wines to be quite good -- and the fruit/cheese platter was very nice -- but many of the staff were very snooty. A few smiled and seemed friendly. The wind blew out part of an umbrella at a table nearby & some of it fell on a couple. A worker cleaning up a nearby table didn't say a thing. We will return to give it a second chance. We can only hope we'll have friendlier service next time. If not, we'll go elsewhere in the future. Jim, thank you so much for visiting with us! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed our wine and hope that you'll come back soon so that we can ensure a more pleasant experience for you! We take our customer service very seriously and pride ourselves on treating our guests like family and therefore sincerely appreciate this feedback!
