Stopped in for dinner at the dinner, we knew the reviews were good but it was still a great surprise. Clearly a popular spot for dinner and rightly so. There was a surprising amount a choice on the menu. All of the food we had was great, plentiful, and fresh! You would be doing well if you can get to desert. The servings are generous and the quality is good. The service is great too. Would recommend and come back again.

My adult son and I stopped in about dusk and the kitchen had closed. They made an exception and cooked up a couple of great hamburgers with all the trimmings. We added a couple of cold beers and it was very enjoyable. The people we friendly and the food served quickly. It is a locals place that made us feel right at home. As a pilot myself I enjoyed the decor which was of the flying history of the area (airport was across the street). I look forward to the next time I am in the area.

Tables were empty but for some reason it. Took awhile to be seated. Once we had our menus and had ordered, we were nearly an hour before our food came up. Not sure what happened - several parties came in after us and were served before us. A number of carry-outs were served before us. We would have walked out but being unfamiliar with the area and the late hour didn't know where else to go. Our waitress, the only one for the entire restaurant, sensed our unhappiness and placated us by discounting our entire dinner and threw in our choice of dessert without us asking for it. Popular spot with the locals. Gonna chalk the s-l-o-w service up to a fluke. Fortunately, the food was good, especially the desserts.

The Miner's Roadhouse 140 Restaurant & Bar was started in November 2012 and has been under going a much needed renovation to the old dated venue previously known and operated as The Miner's Inn Restaurant. The new owners of the building and operations are
This is a tasty place and worth the price. The service is quick and friendly. The food is very good. I had the cheeseburger, which is big and juicy. It was good. We also had the meatloaf sandwich which was very good. There's plenty of parking.

The âstoryâ of the modern Gold Coin Restaurant and Tavern is very complex. I guess the history of the âCoinâ and its home in the old Fremont Adobe is not simple either. Thatâs why the term âWhere History Livesâ is most appropriate.Linda, and her sister Be
We went looking for bar nachos and found exactly what we were looking for at Betts Gold Coin Sports Tavern. They only serve wine and beer, but they have a good sports bar menu. The service was good and the waitstaff friendly. Food came out of the kitchen quickly even though the floor was busy. Since the locals like the place it must be good. We will go back the next time we are in town. Safe travels. Cheers.

A combo grocery store and restaurant, serving healthy-oriented food. Nice size sandwiches, friendly servers. A nice departure from fast food restaurants, and a pleasant environment in which to eat.

Was one of the more disappointing meals of our California trip. Tri-tip was undercooked and a bit more tough than the excellent tri-tip we had a few days prior. Was a bit pricey for the quality, though that is somewhat expected in a small tourist town. Service not that great as well. Was rather slow for them not being overly busy.

Classic american comfort food, from fresh baked pastries and pies to soups and chili, all made from scratch daily. Great burger, fries and shakes too.
Worst restaurant in mariposa. Do yourself a giant favor and go somewhere else. Service was terrible, food was horrible. We complained about a dish. They took it away, brought something else, and charged us for both. They serve bland food that is not even âdinerâquality. Canned soups. Just awful. Awful. Awful. Dirty too! The ketchup bottle was greasy and sticky with a brown crusty rim. The seats were greasy too. 0 âï¸

Probably the best food to be had in Mariposa, with plenty of choice. Would probably describe it as really good home cooking rather than fine dining, but after a day's hiking in Yosemite that's exactly what we wanted. We ate here 3 nights running concluding, perhaps unfairly, that it was probably the best option in town. Total cost for two people before booze or tips ranged between $56 and $77, and this typically bought us a pretty hearty meal. Note that you get free soup or salad with your main course order. It gets busy here in season, so be safe and make a reservation.
