We were only at Shanty for a week & we ending up eating there twice, including the Friday fish fry & the Wednesday basket day. Both were freshly prepared & priced well.They now have a large outside, covered eating area & frequent entertainment nights. There is an outside bar, too where generous drinks are poured. There are Happy Hour specials until 6:00.

Had a very large group with present appetizers and main course. This place is across the parking lot from Lakeview Hotel so a good alternative to the conference center food. Very good lasagna and enjoyed the chicken bite and cheesy bread appetizers. A bit of a carb overload but hey, you're on vacation and there are alternatives on the menu. Good wine selection and excellent service.

We wee pleasant surprised with the Bistro having visited years ago when it had little to offer. The setting is much better and it was busy on aFriday night. Out waitress was new but she still attempted to be helpful. Another waiter really described meal options was impressive. My husband had the Philly style beef which was very good. I had the smoked salmon which was good.

Just visited the meadery. No offense but not my cup of tea. I am not a big craft fan but the Local Light was delicious after the mead. Our server was excellent our food was good, not great as advertised. My fault. I had the mushroom pizza and a pizza needs meat.

We just loved our breakfasts here and came back several times during our two week vacation. The food is fresh, portions are generous and the price is right. We loved the sausage and the blueberry pancakes were just delicious. They serve bakery items and we took home pieces of raspberry pie that we enjoyed. Warm, Up North atmosphere.

What a fantastic place!! Stopped in for breakfast and we were not disappointed. Cranberry-Walnut French toast was fabulous!! Pancakes and corn beef hash for the hubby. Bought two loaves of homemade bread to take home with us!! Owner Shirley even stepped out from the kitchen into the dining room to say hi and make sure everyone was pleased. We will be back!!

My wife and I eat here quite often. The waitstaff is very pleasant and attentive to their tables. Neat environment, lotta old cornerstone signs and fun quotes all over the place. The food is awesome and definitely cheap for what you get! Check it out if you are out that way
