I used to always rave about this buffet, but was supremely disappointed when I went on MLK Day. A special of 2 for $25 was advertised, but it really was not that special. Popcorn shrimp, dried looking Mexican food, mislabeled Asian food, and a salad bar that lacked a lot vegetables. The desserts have changed and it's been more than a year since I've been here. I

I was on the way to Canandaigua for a 4 mile walk and stopped here. I was expecting good Greek food, but very limited to Gyros or Chicken Souvlaki. The owners are Greek. I ordered their Haddock dinner instead. Very good portion and taste. Great selection of diner food. Service was great. They have tried to offer more Greek specialties, but the locals don't seem to go for the ethnic food; they like mostly American choices.
If I could possibly give a restaurant a 0, this would be one of those places. We stopped in here tonight because we had never tried this sub shop, which took over an old Subway store. We will never, EVER go back, even if it means not having any dinner at all. When we arrived, there was no one in the store. Just us and one guy behind the counter. My wife ordered an âautumn panini,â while I ordered a 12â âPapa Joeâ sub. First of all, the man working behind the counter who took our order looked totally and completely lost. Not a clue. He immediately disappeared into the back and started chopping things. He chopped an onion for at least 5-10 minutes, (no kidding), and then did the same thing with a green pepper. So his first 20 minutes was spend chopping and cooking vegetables. When we asked him if we should change our order, he said that âno, this was his fault.â Who cares? We just wanted food! He continued moving things around as another ten minutes passed, then another ten minutes, etc. He even messed up the roll for my sub, and went back into the freezer for another because he âdidnât like the way the first one cut.â Around the 45 minute mark, he started wrapping up things, and at the 50 minute mark he finally gave us our subs. The whole time he was muttering and appeared totally lost. When I got our subs home and opened mine, I found an extremely waterlogged sub that could not be picked up by hand. The sub roll was coated in at least a full cup of mayonnaise that leaked out of every space in the sandwich. As far as I am concerned, the sub is best described as âinedible.â I had wanted to take the other half (six inches) to work for lunch tomorrow. Instead, I threw it in the garbage. I also threw away the other half of the portion I was going to eat for dinner. Please do not bother going to this restaurant. You will wait for an hour to get an inedible product. This is the worst restaurant I have tried in the entire Rochester are in several years.
Always a good place to visit for a good meal. breakfast and dinner. Not fancy but good waitstaff and a good value.

Our hopes were high for our first visit as we browsed a mouth-watering menu. The website raised the bar by stating, "We pledge to please even the fussiest of palates," though we certainly are not that!We settled on chicken wings, scallops and house smoked brisket. The wings were just right while the brisket was thinly sliced and tender, but a lot of fat trimming was necessary and that was not anticipated from past brisket elsewhere. The priciest meal was the scallops, which did not display any searing, were overcooked to chewy and smelled, well, fishy in an unappetizing way that my partner wondered if she might become ill. The side dish of corn tasted bitter and lifeless. Ugh. We couldn't win. Service was pleasant and basic. A neighboring table complained of rancid applesauce and a fly arrived stuck in the side of dressing, which is imagined to have happened en route from the kitchen to table and was remedied. We noted the disappointment of the scallops and regrets were offered by the server. My partner remarked it may have been the worst restaurant meal she's ever had. So, we came away with some unfortunate new guidelines tonight. Get your BBQ and fresh seafood from specialty restaurants. The Log Cabin is likely fine if you want common diner quality choices, but shouldn't be offering more challenging menu options.

The Gananda Pub opened in April of 2015.
We recently held a rehearsal dinner at the Blue Heron. I was extremely pleased and everything exceeded my expectations. The event planner, Daphne, went out of her way to accommodate all of our requests - including a last minute gluten free meal and a high chair and child's meal for the ring bearer. The food was delicious and the prices were very fair. It was a beautiful night so we enjoyed a cocktail hour on the outdoor deck before dinner. The food, value, atmosphere and staff were outstanding and I would certainly recommend it!

This is an old-fashioned brick and mortar diner that was common in 1950. Lots of seating in booths and tables. Standard diner fare. I had the fish fry (battered haddock) with O rings, coleslaw and salad. All the food was acceptable; no standouts. Prices were a bit high - maybe the new minimum wage (can't be the rent).

This is always a consistently-good restaurant that serves up the basics, especially at breakfast. I had my standard breakfast, which is pancakes with sausage patties and sugar-free syrup. They have it out in no time, and the server is always ready to refill your coffee mug. breakfast for all that is around $11.00. I do recommend this place.

We dined here recently and enjoyed a nice meal with the family. Our waitstaff was excellent! Everything was made to our satisfaction. Prices were reasonable and the food was good.

Once again, this diner/restaurant put on a great breakfast for me at the counter seating. I enjoyed a nice portion of pancakes and sausage patties for under eight dollars! Wow! Everything was perfectly done, and two pancakes is enough hereâ¦they a very big! I highly recommend this spot on Route 31 for breakfast any day of the week.
