Reviews on American food in London, Ontario, Canada. You’ll see double-decker buses and even the River Thames, but while London, Ontario, has clearly been inspired by its British namesake, this is a distinctly Canadian destination. Attractions like Fanshawe Pioneer Village, Banting House and Eldon House will captivate history buffs. Or indulge your, shall we say, slightly less cerebral side with a tour of the Labatt Brewery.

As luck would have it, my birthday fell on Earls "Margarita Monday". In addition, our family's Christmas gift(gift cards) provided additional incentive. We were impressed by their Happy Hour (3-6) offerings..pizza to steak/chicken combos were available for reduced rates. In short, we enjoyed good drinks and excellent food in generous portions. Kudos to the chef in supplying steaks cooked to the level we selected..very juicy. Our sides were hot and the mains presented in most appealing manner. We can't praise our server enough. When we entered the restaurant, she was largely on her own seating people and tending bar..she moved like the wind. My husband and I really appreciated her efforts to make our dinning experience a successful one..you can't beat good staff.

Yummy and awesome place for breakfast! Pancakes and French toast are supreme, and plentiful. Great coffee even the decaf. The bacon slices arenât skimpy either with perfectly cooked eggs. And if you can hold more they have homemade pies and things, the coconut cream pie is beautiful! Please make a reservation because they are busy and very popular!Service is important and it is top notch and the wait staff are very nice and attentive.Iâm going back for lunch, looks great too!

My wife and I attended Chop Steakhouse London for our 8th-anniversary dinner. The staff cheerfully greeted us and helped us to make the correct choice with information about our meals. they met all our needs and were very attentive and courteous. We highly recommend people to attend this restaurant for any occasion or just for a casual meet. Food and service are awesome. They even took the time to present us with a happy anniversary card signed by all staf..how nice and unexpected.Hello Jim D.So great to hear that our team made your special occasion one to remember. Menu touring and hospitality is what we teach our service team and they clearly hit the nail on the head. I wanted to thank you for your amazing review, and spending your anniversary with us! I will be sure to let both culinary and service team about your kind words. Ask for me the next time you come in for another occasion, or even a quick drink, I would love to say hi.Happy Anniversary,Andrew Whitney, Asst. General Manager

I wish there was a half point rating available here as being torn how to rate my review. I was very impressed with the atmosphere being far different than most breakfast place I frequent in Pennsylvania. Very cool environment to have breakfast. The street is all torn up not the owners fault at all as we were determined to find them from our hotel. We both ordered sides as all we wanted was a simple egg and toast meal. There are many selections for a full breakfast but man the prices were very high. But then again you pay for quality and I am sure the food is fantastic. That sis I doubt we will be back as our home is in the states. If we do come back to London we will try again the take in a hockey game close by.

Our hotel suggested this as a good family type restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service was good and the food freshly prepared. Serving sizes were large - 2 of us split one entrée and we still had leftovers. We ate here twice and both times were very good.

Treat yourself to an unforgettable culinary experience as you dine in style at the Idlewyld restaurant, surrounded by the elegance of our Victorian mansion. Our 70-seat dining room offers a locally-inspired menu of contemporary and traditional favourites
First off, the dining room is quite lovely. The tables are decently spaced and it is fairly quiet due to ample cloth coverings and tablecloths. The service is friendly and decent. We did not find the food as good as on previous visits. Some appetizers like the escargot and the scallops were excellent. The Caesar salad was OK but not great. All the beef mains were overcooked and thus not so not great. The seafood linguini was outstanding. The wine list is not large but there is something for every taste. So a mixed bag overall. On the positive side, I mixed up the dates for our reservation but they handled our group without blinking and eye.Thank you for taking the time to review the Idlewyld Inn Restaurant. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed ambiance of the restaurant and overall service. I will review your comments about the food quality with the Chef and his team. We hope to see you again in the future.

Here at Shmokey's, we specialize in smoked meat- brisket sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches, smoked chicken, and anything else we feel like smoking, from ribs to wings to fish. Come in for our take on southern comfort food. We believe in big portions, big
We live in the southwest part of London and this restaurant is in the northeast area so it was a long way to go for BBQ, but we had fallen in love with Beef Brisket while we were in California over the winter. It is not easy to find and was a bit underwhelming when we drove up, but the food made up for it. It has a small eating area inside and a nice patio area at the side of the building. The sandwich was tasty, lots of meat (although we had expected the pulled brisket but got the sliced brisket.) The bun was a it too hard and the fries weren't great but the BBQ was good but a bit pricey.

Our bistro offers a range of food experience from beet and goat cheese salad to salmon niciose. We utilize local as much as possible. We also have an extensive wine list exclusive to us in the village and not available at lcbo stores.
Our visit was on the first really nice day of spring and the patio was packed. This can be a bit of a problem if you choose to stay indoors because the servers spend a lot of time going out and in!There is very limited parking on the property and more on the street. We had reservations and were offered a table in the center of the small room. They apparently were saving a nice table on the side but no one occupied it the whole time we were there! We were seated in front of the non-operational fireplace. The floor is uneven, so the table was rocking! Tyler brought menus and adjusted a table leg so it was more stable. He was also very helpful with my beer selection- just told him the flavours I enjoy and his recommendation of Kronenburg was a perfect choice. It was cold and delicious! We went this route because I felt the wine prices were inflated. The food was excellent. The lightly dusted and fried calamari was a bit on the light side but the portion was generous and their version of tzatziki was yummy! Our entrees were fantastic and beautifully presented- 2 pork tenderloin rouladin stuffed with roasted red pepper, spinach and feta on mashed potatoes finished with roasted red pepper sauce and garnished with a sprig of thyme - kudos to the chef!!They were certainly in no hurry. We waited quite awhile for our bill and even longer to cash out! But we were in no rush and we were enjoying the party poppers at the next table. The food is so good and reasonable, I do not hesitate to recommend The Sweet Onion Bistro!

We love the Keg and always celebrate birthdays here. One of the nicest things about this chain is that they are pretty consistent across locations - you know you are going to get great steak and excellent choices for starters and oh that Billy Miner Pie! My husband and I started with french onion soup and the mushrooms neptune respectively. And then we both had the prime rib for our entrees, ending with that magic Billy Miner Pie for dessert. All of the food was 5*s and we enjoyed our dinners greatly. The outstanding part of our night was our server Sam. He was fantastic! He was polite, very knowledgeable about the menu and funny at the right times. We told him we were in no rush and he let us enjoy our courses a little more leisurely than normal service which was exactly what we wanted. Excellent job Sam!If you want a tried and true Steakhouse, this is the place!

The Works is a full service, licensed, casual dining restaurant chain with outdoors work themes. The restaurantâs main menu feature is burgers.
This is basically a burger joint, but you'll be astonished with the options. You start out with your choice of protein - ground beef, chicken, and the like; choose your toppings; then choose the type of bread/roll you want. You can do this by yourself, or you can go to their suggested list of burger/toppings combinations and confirm them. Don't forget to look at the large list of appetizers, too. Craft and domestic beers and wines are available. We had two large burgers, one order of fries, and two rounds of drinks. The total bill after tax and tip was $74-USD. Pretty expensive, but pretty good, too.
