Find out what American restaurants to try in Little Falls. Little Falls is a city in Herkimer County, New York, United States. The population was 4,946 at the 2010 census. The city is built on both sides of the Mohawk River, at a point at which rapids had impeded travel upriver. Transportation through the valley was improved by construction of the Erie Canal, completed in 1825 and connecting the Great Lakes with the Hudson River.

Getting into town in early evening and not wanting to go exploring I was told at the hotel adjacent the restaurant that it was a decent buffet. I found the selection poor at best and what was there was dry dry dry. Boneless wings were hard crusted and inside was so dry it wasn't edible. Pasta was solidly firm and would break if picked up. Meatballs were really the only thing edible in the entire selection. There was what appeared to be dry potato cakes and some Mexican dish but wasn't edible either. Salad selection appeared to be the only real option but since it appeared to have been sitting there for hours I passed on that as well.
I had NY Strip Steak a Poivre and it was cooked as I asked. The sauce was delicious. The salad was good with a tasty blue cheese. My wife had a fish dish which she enjoyed twice - having to box the remainder and take home.

We were pleased to find this restaurant while traveling (thanks, Trip Advisor!) on a rainy afternoon. There were six different varieties of homemade soups, a large choice of sandwiches, paninis and salads. Everything is home made, including the delicious variety of cookies and muffins. (Sandwich Chef is open for breakfast too.) A cup of soup and a half-sandwich were only $6.50! I had the thick squash soup- perfect for fall- with 1/2 of a black bean burger on a toasted baguette. My husband had half of a turkey club sandwich with a cup of cheeseburger chowder. The owner also sells her own canned goods- bread & butter pickles, pickled beets, chow-chow, BBQ sauce and jams. I couldn't leave without taking a peanut butter Hershey kiss cookie with me!

They have awesome macaroni salad! Their sandwiches are good and it's a nice atmosphere. My only negative comment is that I sometimes get breakfast (to go) from there and a couple times my breakfast sandwich was burned which I didn't realize til I was already home. I do enjoy going there for my lunch break.

Coffee is good, and the bacon and eggs are just fine. Nothing outstanding, but perfectly OK for a basic breakfast.

Dine in a historic 1860 stone castle featuring creative, fresh, local & sustainable cuisine. Chef owned for 24 years. Upscale dining on the main floor, casual bar & grill in The Dungeon, banquets and weddings in the top floor banquet room. Seasonal menu,
No doubt, a castle and piece of history is beautiful. The atmosphere is incredible in the dungeon and when you first walk in. Very nice place for an event. We attended the murder mystery dinner and was not impressed. It was our first murder mystery dinner and we were so excited to play the game. It is upstairs and redone like a hall. Not very authentic castle atmosphere. It would have been so much better if it was done in the dungeon or on the main floor. The food is ok. Nothing over the top. The mystery was predictable. A bit of a let down. We had a good time and it was a nice visit to another castle out of many we would like to see in the US. The price was worth the value.

Copper Moose Ale House is a vibrant new American Pub-style restaurant serving pub favorites as well as delicious entrees, salads and desserts. We feature 27 beers and ciders on tap highlighting numerous local NY micro-breweries. Stop in Copper Moose Ale H
Can't say enough about the experience at the Copper Moose. Fabulous food, beer and cocktails. And even better service from the staff. Would highly recommend to locals and visitors/tourists in the area. The bartender, Justin, was accommodating and very helpful to everyone at the bar sharing his love of beer and food. The owner, Eric, was interesting, friendly and congenial to not only us as tourists but to the locals as well. Impressive the quality of food in such a small rural town. Beer list that rivals a large city. Wished it was open on Sunday so I could have eaten there again before heading back to Seattle. Great place!
