In Lincoln for a few drinks with friends for one of their birthdays and we fancied something to eat. We took a turn into Clasketgate actually looking for another food place but came across Huckleberryâs. The menu in the window looked good and the board outside promised dancing squirrels so we knew we had to try it out, even if only for a drink! The friendly staff and menu soon made us decide to eat, and wow! So pleased we did. The food was amazing - onion straws are my new favourite thing in the world - and the service was friendly and swift. Great portion sizes and reasonably priced. Iâd never heard of a slider - the filthy moo was awesome. Absolutely thrilled to have found this place and canât wait to return, maybe next time Iâll find room for dessert. (They looked delicious and friends confirmed they were - you even get a dessert free if itâs your birthday!) Super impressed...think Iâve found my new favourite place to eat in Lincoln!

I apologise for the egg, being underdone. We do offer over-easy and hard eggs should you like them, however I apologise for this one being underdone. With regards to the table, we are currently working our way through repairs, as some of them have become loose over the years. Once again thank you for taking the time to review us.

Our burgers are handmade from scratch HERE everyday, using traditionally reared 100% prime Scotch beef, mixed together with a selection of fresh ingredients & seasonings before being flame grilled to order. Our fresh cut chips are made from farm fresh pot
Suzie our waitress was very helpful and polite. The food came fairly quickly but we visited for an early lunch before going to the cinema. All of the food was hot and tasty but I do have to say itâs not as good as it used to be. The burgers arenât as big and the meat isnât as flavoursome, but for the price, it is worth a visit

Served by Alex - the only reason this review has even gotten any stars if I'm honest. He was absolutely fantastic, very quick to serve us and very attentive. This review should not reflect poorly on him at all as he was the only positive in our visit and would like to thank him for his lovely attitude.Went specifically to try the vegan breakfast as we'd heard good things about the burgers, etc. There was no soy milk (they had apparently ran out) to have our teas or coffees with, and no other milk alternatives to choose from. We were served a sausage (nice), hashbrown (really nice, not too greasy either!), beans, mushrooms, tomatoes (again, were nice but my partner ate them as I'm not a fan so had extra has browns) so we thought - it's okay, nothing amazing but that's what you would expect. However the 'smashed avocado' was stringy, lumpy and had never even so much as had a whisper of salt or pepper near it, there was no butter substitute offered with our toast, and the 'scrambled tofu' actually looked like cat sick - I wish I could say I was joking - it smelt and looked like a tofu curry or coronation chicken. Severely disappointed, however, Alex informed us that this is how the poor chefs have been tasked with cooking it, and he very nicely took the extra has browns off the bill due to this. It was an okay visit, some of the food was okay, half of it was terrible - but had lovely service from Alex which is why the gets 2 instead of 0 stars. Head office needs to may research their menu before jumping on the vegan bandwagon!
