Smokey Joe's offers a variety of smoked and barbecued meats and southern food sides. My son loved the ribs and sandwich. The amount was ample for the price. I selected the chicken salad sandwich which was delicious. The server was knowledgeable about the menu items and offered information about favorite items. The food was served on paper plates and the utensils were plastic ware and there were lots of napkins at the table. There was an ample amount of food at a fair price. It is a nice addition to the restaurant offerings in Leonardtown!Hi, thanks for your review! We've moved along with our plan and now dinner is full service, with china and silverware, beginning each day at 4:00 and all day on Sunday. Due to the short times most people have for lunchtime, we've kept that part of the day as quick-service. We're glad you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again soon! We are enjoying Leonardtown, it's a great place to be.

I stopped here for breakfast after arriving early for a meeting at a nearby hospital. While the food was good and the service excellent, I was quite surprised by the final tally on the check. I ordered off the menu, 2 eggs scrambled, sausage, hash browns, white toast, got coffee and a small OJ. OK small may not describe the cup for the OJ, maybe go with minuscule. $1.69 to for 2 sips, coffee was $2.69 with refills (wasn't good enough to refill) Eggs and sausage were good as were the hashbrowns. Final bill was $14.51The service was really good as it should be when you have 2 more staff members than customersFYI, this restaurant does not accept American Express or Discover plastic

We'd heard good things about this bar and decided to give it a try for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Our waitress greeted us and took our drink order with reasonable promptness, but that's where her attentiveness ended. The drinks arrived more than 10 minutes later, after we watched her take the drnk and food order for a large party, all while our drinks sat on the bar within view. She took our lunch order... and we waited another 45 minutes for our sandwiches and pizza, which was average in quality and not very hot or fresh. I would have understood if she seemed busy or overwhelmed, but I felt like her attention was simply elsewhere. I'm not sure if we'll try again. There are lots of great local places in the area. Thank you for your feedback, however, is it possible you may have us confused with another business? We are a family restaurant with a bar and we do not serve pizza in our establishment. We welcome the opportunity to earn your business.Sincerely,Bill and Silvia Walker

Came here on a Tuesday with my out if state cousin. Nice casual pub like atmosphere, service was attentive, and food was on par. We shared the loaded fries, a salad, and a Reuben sandwich. All fresh and good quality. They started trivia while we were there, we didn't participate but sounded fun. They even popped fresh popcorn! Yum.

Our first visit 2 years ago got us into the bar via the password of the night. All of our subsequent visits have been for coffees in the front part of the restaurant. Wow; consistently wonderful lattes and other coffee options. Perfect to my taste every time and always prepared by a friendly barista.

We finally had the opportunity to visit Jessie's Kitchen this week. The restaurant is tucked away in what has become a restaurant mall in quaint Leonardtown, MD. The decor is elegant in its simplicity. The menu offers something for everyone and is reasonably priced. A friend had gotten the hummus and tabouleh salad as a take out option to share~it was an ample meal. We tried the bison burger, chicken avocado sandwich and the flatbread pizza. All of the selections were made and presented with care. Simply delicious! We are looking forward to return and try some of the other menu selections and fish specials.

Just back from our first visit to Kevin’s. We just moved to the area (Hollywood, MD) and have been trying out different restaurants - Kevin’s was incredible. My wife had the stuffed shrimp which was amazing and I had the Streamed Platter but asked the oysters raw instead of steamed. The oysters were by far some of the best I have ever had, the shrimp, scallops and crab legs were beyond incredible. We will definitely be back!

Stopped at this locale while traveling in St Mary's County in Southern Maryland at the suggestion of a friend. Turned out to be a quite fine recommendation indeed.Service was quick and pleasant- Jordan was great! Ordered a tall IPA which was at the table cold and tasty within 2 minutes. Sit outside if you can- nice little outside garden.Ordered a "3-way" which is a combo plate of apps. The pizza fries were great as were the chips. Def recommend.

Took Aunt there for 90th birthday. Spent a lot of time coordinating with the restaurant to make sure it was perfect. We were told to sit at at one table where other people already were. Got our drinks, then food. Order was not totally correct-over/ under cooked and again, not correct. Waiter never returned to refill drinks. After leaving we were sick for days. Called to make them aware and was cut off-they didn't want to hear it; nor did they want to make it right. They made a cake that we did not order saying they made one since they never heard from me-I have copies of ALL of the emails, so that was a lie-but they wanted to charge me more than their listed price! Very disappointed!Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at The Front Porch. I explained during our phone conversation I believe that there was a breakdown in communication. Your reservation was made for 1:30pm. You arrived at 12:45. I COMMUNICATED to you that the table you had originally requested was not ready. I offered to seat you at a different table. You COMMUNICATED to me that your party would be ok with a different table than you had originally requested. You followed me to the clean table and then COMMUNICATED that the table was not to your liking. I then explained it was the only free and clean table in the dining room. I pointed to another table that was free, but I needed to clean it prior to you sitting. You obliged. When I returned to the dining room to wipe down the table, you had begun sitting at different table that customers where still having lunch (both where in the bathroom). The table had personal items (phones, purses and jackets) still on the back of chairs and scattered on the table. I apologized for the misunderstanding (or MISCOMMUNICATION) and cleaned the new table. You sat down. The cake that had a HAND painted Fondant Fox figurine that was made by our pastry chef. The cake options and prices are on the website. At the bottom of the pricing there is a section of text that reads … All prices subject to change based on specialty ingredients, level of difficulty, and additional decorations. The $5 extra charge for the cake would include hand painted Fondant foxes. Please also understand that you were never charged for the cake. We politely obliged the (MISCOMMUNICATION) misunderstanding and DID NOT CHARGE you for the cake. The EMAIL trail seems to have a breakdown in COMMUNICATION. I have read the back and forth. Per our conversation on the phone the Brussel sprouts were cooked with slightly burnt ends on purpose. Hence the name Crispy Brussel sprouts. I appreciate your cooking advice on boiling them, but I think we are going to stick to our method moving forward. We do not have Baked potatoes available at The Front Porch. We are unable to cook a product that we physically do not have. That would defy the laws of physics. While I am confident on our kitchen abilities… some goals are just unattainable. There seems again to be a breakdown in COMMUNICATION. Thank You for your feedback. We will miss your Business. Jeff Lewis
