My Mom and I stopped by this KFC as we were passing through. She and I both enjoy different KFC's in the area. We hadn't eaten here so we thought we'd give it a try. First off we should have known something was wrong when most of the other restaurants we passed all had cars out front but this one looked deserted. There appeared to be four people working here, we were the only customers inside or in the drive through lane. We both ordered the two piece dinner with two sides. We stipulated dark meat and were told they didn't have any chicken legs. No offer to cook any, but that was OK. We said two thighs would be fine. I went to the rest room, when I got back, my mother was seated with our food. I immediately noticed that they only given us the sides for one meal. I went to the counter and requested that we be given the food we ordered. There was an apology and we received the two sides we were owed. When I got back to the table my mom said we weren't given anything to eat with. I checked to see if they were on the counter with the napkins, they weren't. I went back to the counter and waited a lengthy time while the four in the back cut up. When I finally got one of their attention I was told she didn't take our order. I said that was OK we just needed something to eat with. I wouldn't be writing this is f that was all that occurred, even though that kind of terrible service with 4 people on staff and no customers is inexcusable. Finally we got to eat our dinner. The chicken was pure grease. Grease dripped off of it everywhere. It's pretty bad when the only edible food on your plate is dehydrated mashed potatoes, but that was the case. The food, service and everything about this visit was horrible!
I am a big fan of biscuits which tastes like my grandmothers did and Hardee's comes close.I give this Hardee's 4 stars for their breakfast. They get a 2 on the building. Although of is clean, the building is past its prime 10 years ago. Outdated wallpaper, glass solarium is dirty and glass is occluded. You can see outside.
There's a KFC, bojangles, and a zaxbys within 100 yards of one another, way to go batesburg town council who allowed that to happen Anyway , it's expensive but tasty, 10 wings, 10 tenders, 2 fries, 26$ yikes.I dunno if I will go back , chicken and no biscuits?!?! Just think it's strange to see 3 chicken places back to back like that.
Not big or fancy just good food and friendly service. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and supper (if you are from the South). You will usually find one of the owning family members working and they will treat you like family. Breakfast is when I eat there the most and my favorite is their biscuits and sausage gravy. If you travel down Hwy 178 in Lexington County you will go through Fairview Crossroads and right in front of Crossroads Cafe. Stop in and give them a try.
We really wanted to like this place. There is a real lack of good places to eat in B-L, and we live the idea of the religious focus. Our first visit will pribably be our last though. Three other tables occupied when entered for lunch just before noon. Ten minutes for server to show up. Another 40 minutes for a burger and fries to arrive. 50 minutes seat-to-eat when you arenât that busy doesnât work for lunch. So we paid $11.00 each for $4.00 hamburgers, served with three pieces of potato. They were tasty, but small and unremarkable. Canât imagine going back.

We were told this was the good place to eat in town, and unfortunately it was closed for several weeks.

I have eaten at Wiz's several times over the years. Sometimes the food is hit or miss, but usually it's pretty good. The kids and I had lunch here recently and we enjoyed it. There's not much in the way of service: your order at the counter then seat yourself at a table and wait for your food. Drinks are serve-serve as well, but there is waitstaff who check on you once seated. Nothing fancy or foodie about this place but if a casual restaurant with a large menu is what you're looking for, check them out! Thanks for the 4 star rating we do appreciate you stopping by

We weâre treated to a trip to Shealyâs by family on a recent visit to SC. It has a great local reputation and the place was very well attended the evening we went. Closed circuit TV show national food shows that highlighted this restaurant. I had not heard of it. That said I sampled this buffet style restaurant which motto is âpay your way in and eat your way out.â I tried the fried chicken ( very good), the cream corn ( meh), pulled pork (cold), mashed potatoes (lukewarm and lumpy). I also sampled the fried wishbones which was also very good. Finally the platter of coconut cream pie was good. Decent country food and not unreasonably priced for all you can eat. Nothing that special though in my opinion. Give it a try though if your in the area.
