The Towne Pub at 10th and Ottowa is my all time favorite place to get a hamburger. The owners. Sharon and Bill, are delightful. All the food is good. The fried catfish and chicken dinners are delicious as well. Don't miss this little neighborhood pub!

Ten Penny Restaurant and Bar is a neighborhood pub tucked away in the middle of Leavenworth, offering down-home cooking, great drinks, and daily specials. At Ten Penny, you'll be treated like family while you sit back and chat with the locals, enjoying a
Itâs an old building, presumably an old bar in the middle of the old town but with some âcontemporaryâ art. Typical American dishes with nightly specials. I had the meatloaf w/mash & corn-nothing exceptional about the side dishes but The meatloaf was good & different-something different in it that I could not lay a finger on. Great service by Shelby S.

Scratch kitchen that specializes in Pizza, Wings and BBQ. Full bar with 35 draft handles and a Brewery onsite.
I've been to this restaurant approximately three time in three years and every time it is the same. The food is always greasy, nasty, and low quality. I had a Reuben there and it was low quality corn beef that was chewy and greasy. The Rye toasted was drenched in butter making it soggy and greasy. I got the Cali-BLT which was disgusting. It was sweet like a dessert because the bacon was candied and the toast tasted like cinnamon. I got a measly sorry piece of lettuce and a faded flavorless sorry tomato and they forget to put avocado on the BLT. This place sucks! I would avoid this nasty place if I were you.

The place doesn't look like much being all the size of a single car garage but the two ladies working there are truly excellent. Stopped in to give it a try my second week in town. Both tables were occupied but I was invited to sit with a guy at one of them. They have a good variety of catfish, shrimp, and a few other things as well as a pile of different sides and some really good desserts (I've had the cobbler). The fish was done perfectly. I've been back since and am slowly working my way though some of the different stuff they offer (next will be the rice and beans) and I've been pleased each visit.

The breakfast choices, the breakfast itself, and the service were excellent. More than enough in one meal to last most of the day. This is like stepping back into the 70's. I think the booth chairs have lost their springs! This place has no nonsense decor and is definitely reminiscent of the past. If you like good food and plenty of it, this is a stop you can make and not break the budget.

Family decided to stop and try it, since we drive by it all the time. I had the country fried steak platter with green beans (had no flavor) and mashed potatoes. My daughter had the classic Homer hamburger, which was okay. Her boyfriend had the catfish and said it was good. My husband the pork sandwich, I think lol what ever it was, it was good. It is a small dinner with lots of old Coke Cola décor. Waitress was very nice and on top of things.

Taking into account that twenty-six people descended the premises after attending the funeral of my grandmother, I was really impressed with this restaurant. My uncle called in advance to find out if they could accommodate such a large crowd. We gave them fifteen minutes to set-up before arriving. They werenât ready for us. I wondered if they thought it was a prank or they wanted to make sure we would actually show. This was my only complaint. The two waitresses, I wish I had gotten their names, that handle our crowd, were excellent and polite. They stayed on top of refills while filling requests. The food not only tasted good but was hot in terms of temperature. My shrimp dinner was filling and my sister, whoâs a vegetarian, stated that her spinach salad was the best she had tasted in years. The generous portion of my fatherâs chicken fried steak dinner filled his belly to the brim. In fact, the whole posse was pleased with their meals.Overall: Although this is a steakhouse, their menu offered a varied selection to please all.

This is a very small eat in restaurant, so it might be better to pick up and take it home. That being said, the BBQ meats were exceedingly good, especially the burnt ends. Very tasty. They have combos of chicken, pork and beef. Everyone at my table had something different and it was all delicious. Call early as some things run out of availability later in the evening.

Having spent the night at the Holiday Inn on post and partaking of their generous complementary breakfast, we weren't "that" hungry when it came time for lunch. So, on our way back to Kansas City, we stopped at The Depot and shared the pork tenderloin sandwich. We agree that it is in the top 2 of our all time favorite tenderloins. It was not only mammoth, but also gristle and grease-free, tender, and delicious. The accompanying home made chips were good, too. Nick was our waiter; we were impressed by his accommodating, pleasant service. Our only criticism would be the size of the bun, tomato, onion slices and pickle chips. With a sandwich that size the accompaniments should be doubled (or maybe quadrupled)!

A family restaurant since 1989. Serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Sort of like a diner which serves plain and simple, really good meals like you would get at home. Owners are nice and friendly and wait staff is great. I am in town for a long term training session and this has been my go to place for dinner. Have not tried them for breakfast. I would and will go back here many times while I am here.
